Rear View Mirror Rattle

Anyone that has a sub installed in their car have a problem with the rear view mirror rattling?

How have you been able to fix it?

It rattles but when I touch the mirror or press on it, it stops rattling.

Have any suggestions?

Thanks

Yes. Every car I have ever owned I have installed subs in and they all made the mirror rattle. You could try putting some dynamat between the mirror and mount, but it will probably always rattle some when the volume is up.

There is usually a set screw on the base of the mirror that you could tighten slightly that should help. The way the mirror's are usually put on is a metal base plate that is glued in some way to the windshield, and the mirror slides over the base and is tightened into place with a set screw (usually a small allen wrench). Hope that helps.
