Tinted windows

Went to get my tint today and they only had 35%, 20% and lower. 25% is the legal limit in Texas. But in the moment I went with 20% cause I though what the hell... I'm kinda worried now haha you think I'd get pulled over if a cop sees it? I've been thinking about talking to my optometrist about getting a prescription...

Police dont car too much about that. Especially if its close to legal. Just dont get stopped for something else and it most likely wont come up. Unless you come across a younger cop whos one of the jerk ones who just writes tickets whenever he's able to

So will your optometrist sign off on getting you a prescription, meaning if it's too dark he will gladly be your roommate in prison?

No sense in giving the police probable cause so they can stop you based on your window tinting.

In Delaware, I have a tint waiver for my car. I can tint as dark as I want, even the windshield. I went to the DMV, got the paperwork, took it to my optometrist, had her throw some fancy words on there that basically mean that my eyes are extremely sensitive to light (which they are), took that back to the DMV, they called the optometrist to verify and presto. They notarized my paperwork and printed me a new registration that's good for as long as I own the vehicle that states: This vehicle has a tint waiver. It cost me nothing but a few days of running back and forth and trying to be as respectful as possible about it. I believe that most states have this system in place, it's just that the government has been cracking down on fraudulent paperwork and claims, so they make you jump thru a few hoops now. I just did 20% all around and a eyebrow on the windshield. It makes the car look so much more sinister.

I am going to have to look into that because I actually am light sensitive. That would be so nice. Specially to be able to tint the front windshield a little.
