I could be wrong, but I think the premium come with it, not the base model.

My base has one. Maybe it's included with the Brembo package?

19" or larger wheels get the strut tower brace.

If you got 18" wheels you won't have one.

If that's the case and I'm hoping you are correct, the strut bar should be listed under the Brembo and/or Track Pack options. My Track Pack GT hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hoping the strut bar is included. That'll be one more item off my growing mods list.

I promise you unless they just changed their mind that is how it worked for 2011-2013. So I would think the same for 2014.

Only requirement is 19" wheels. Doesn't matter what package you use to get them.

Question, why with the 19"+ wheels? Is there a technical reason for that, or is it just an added bonus as part of getting the larger wheels?

I thought it was Brembo (I have) or Track Pack feature, not for any 19" wheel configuration.

Just curious if there is a technical reason. Thanks.

California Special gets it too. I remember Ford giving some technical reason for it. Something about the 19" rims causing the car to have more flex or something.

Anyway you look at it, I noticed a huge improvement on my car with the stock 18s and the strut brace. For a brace that probably costs them sub 100$ I don't get why they don't put it on all the models.

I can think of 6.5million reasons. The shifter bracket would be far cheaper, but I don't see them doing that either.

I agree. It would be great if they remedied that complaint. The standard shifter bracket is lame. Its replacement will be a priority for my new GT.

They also come with the convertibles. My 2011v6 came with one, and my new 13 GT came with one a Premium with Brembo and 19 inch wheels. So, I guess its either Brembo or 19in wheels that include the tower brace. I changed my convertible's out with a chrome SR looks nice with the other chrome accents. Best of Luck Thursday.

Welll....take a pick. A lot of flex making turns or showing off the motor with the hood up. I'll take less flex please.
