'12 vs '13 tailights

I own a '12 5.0. The '13 taillights look as if they would fit my '12. Is this a bolt up option?

I heard it can be done.. But it's expensive as hell. I'm hearing $1k-$1300. Unless the prices have changed since the last time I checked. I want them pretty bad..but I have better things to do with $1000 bucks. I also heard there is a very small gap if u put them on the 12's or 11's, it's no biggie though

the only way to get rid of the gap is with a 13 bumper.
plus i've seen sets go for like 800.

You will need the bumper and the lights, there will be a small gap under the lights before the bumper. Someone on here did it a while back and left his bumper with the gap and could barely notice it, but his car was black so it blended in.

the gap is fine, a guy on moddedmustangs did it on his white 2012. he ended up just putting carbon fiber vinyl underneath of the gap and it filled it up visually

Raxiom supposedly was. That was a while ago tho that AM said they were working with them on it. I gave up it would ever happen and just got the current Raxiom Tailights.

Yep, can be done (you get the gap though). I was also waiting on Raxiom... The 10-12 Raxiom Euro-style Taillights are pretty nice, I'm not a fan of the 10-12 stock ones.

Looks fine on darker cars, you actually can't even tell there's a gap unless you really look for it and they almost look stock to anybody who doesn't know mustangs.

I remember now, I would love to have the 13 tails for My 11. I don't want to buy a 13 bumper also. The tails alone are expensive.

With the gap being there, when it rains does the water stay there or does it run down somewhere. I've never checked myself. Sry for the question.

I think the real reason Raxiom is taking long or haven't made it official yet is because the 13s have reflective lenses on the rear bumper, and the 10-12 doesn't which probably won't make them DOT approved... That's just my guess, don't know for sure but I really love those 13-14 taillights but not enough for me to pocket over 2K for a correct conversion

That makes sense. Yeah I just can't see throwing out all that money to look like a stock 13-14. Plus I do like my raxiom aero taillights.
