Finally got around to a wax job

I haven't waxed the car since I bought it a month ago. I keep it clean and use a black detailer after every wash, but I've wanted to get those dealer swirls marks out of the paint.

Went with Turtle wax black box kit. It was a lot of work and messy, but damn, it looks sexy! Not a scratch or swirl to be seen in the sunlight. I was impressed for a $25 wax kit.

She looks great! Wanna do mine next haha.. Wow and it shines. Turtle Wax is an old name, but it does a good job.

No, they are AMR Charcoal 19" staggered.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I don't plan on waxing again for a couple months. I use Macguire's black car detailer after every wash and hopefully that'll keep the high shine going for awhile.

Lol. I thought about going to dealer, showing them the car and asking how much they'll pay me to detail their Mustangs!

That was the first change. Not that I didn't like the Brembo wheels, but I love the Shelby looking AMR wheels. Wanted to stand out locally. Have had a lot of compliments in the short time I've had the car. Would love to get a GT500 spoiler, Cervinis chin spoiler and CDC grille, but broke right now.

Looks great. I have avoided getting mine washed specifically because I do NOT want to see those swirl marks on my car! I've had it for just over a year, but I rarely drive it and it is garage-kept. Having said that, it is to the point now where I really need to have it cleaned.... I'm just scared. I don't trust myself to do it without swirling it up, nor do I trust anyone else to do it. What a dilemma! You did a great job on yours! The shine is amazing!

Just hand wash (no car wash!) and if it needs waxing just do it by hand and there won't be a single swirl mark.

Davey...glad to see you also went with the Turtle Wax Black Box Kit. Here is a shot of my 2012 after the application. You are right though, the stuff is amazing!

Here is another taken close up. This was after my 10th hand wash...the Turtle Wax is still looking great and holding up perfectly. I'll definitely use it again.

Their detail guy sucks on a black car. My car looked good when they prepped it for me, but in the sunlight you could see swirl marks.
