If you want to get 80k miles out of a Ford you better not mod it at all. I know what you're trying to say, but most people have a realistic expectation that adding power over the stock level will shorten the lifespan of the component significantly.

Build it, race it, break it, fix it. That's how it goes, if you aren't ok with breaking it and fixing it, don't mod it.

I also agree with Grabber though, the tune is key. The people who have blocks and stock internals surviving on 700+ RWHP are likely on proper dyno tunes, not mail order tunes that involve some guesswork.

Not saying it isn't possibly, but if i have a SC on my stock internals for 100k miles, the only thing I would be able to think is that I did it wrong and could have pushed it MUCH farther.

My 98 4.6 has been procharged for 120k now with 8psi making about 355rwhp lol. It's still stock motor and just hit 153k yesterday night. Now I am on the 3rd transmission in that car, and the procharger head unit had to be rebuilt once lol.

I know a few guys who have taken out personal loans to pay for their kit but the interest rates were super high at around 17%. I felt so bad for them that my usual straight forward call it what it is personality was speechless. I had a 4% credit card that I put mine on and had a payment plan to pay it off in 6 months. If you decide to do something like I did its CRUCIAL you pay it off quick with a reasonable interest rate.
