Clutch Time or MGW issue??

Hey all,
i have an MGW shifter in my car. Havent had any issues till now. Shifting 1st to 4th and 5th to 6th is fine. When i shift from 4th to 5th it grinds really bad. Anyone else hear anything like this or is it clutch time??

Neither, sounds like a bad synchro.

That's not likely to be the shifter itself unless the bracket has some how come loose or the shifter body has come loose from the trans shift linkage.

Sounds to me like your mt-82 is about to bite the dust

I had the same problem last year. It's a bad synchro. The dealer may try to pin it on the shifter though. :/

Update? What did the dealer say? Did 4th-5th still grind with the stock shifter back in?
