Can't wait; I did not get the shipment email Friday. I heard from another Thread that they were on delay for two weeks because the parts had to be assembled. I may have to call to verify on Tuesday if I don't get a email notice. Julie told me that they should ship on Friday or Monday.

Not a huge issue though, I still have to wait on the EPCO shift knob to come in on or before 20 SEP.

Then I have to schedule When I am going to install it between weekends that are pretty much filled with soccer travels.

Yes they ship out shipments every two weeks. They are on a schedule believe it or not.

I just hope I am in the right two weeks.... I should have been in this weeks shipment, not the next two week shipment. The guy in the other forum stated that there was a two week delay so I am trying to understand where I fit in. But again not so important as long as the part is here when the shifters knob arrives.

I think I got mine three weeks after I ordered. But like everyone says it's totally worth the wait

Just confirmed; will ship later today or tomorrow.

It was not so much a matter of "when it will ship". Since something occurred on my end (probably did not press the final confirmation button) of the Internet and I had to order telephonically, I got a little concerned if my newest oder was still on track. When it did not ship on Friday (or this afternoon) as projected, I wanted to make sure that my vote counted (so to speak). Julie eased my mind.

When did yours ship?

I know that MGW only ships ground, but maybe if was more cost efficient operationalize for UPS to ship by air to a hub then ground. I can't see UPS driving all the way to Arizona solely because the customer paid the cheap price...in some cases air has got to be considered. Unless there is a bypass ground route straight to Arizona. Just me thinking.

Update: just checked is states delivery by Monday but travel days remaining is 2. I think my shifter will arrive to the local hub on Friday then sit all weekend to be delivered in the worst case scenario. But it is in my best interest to wait on the EPCO shift knob to arrive NLT Friday 20 SEP. So I got time.

I need to start getting the specific tools set a side. Thinking about doing it at home ( may have to purchase at least on of those extensions at the pawn shop or go to The military MWR garage and pay $6 a hour for a lift and tools and do it myself.

Yea, MGW said that I would get an email with the tacking number when it ships. I got one from UPS; probably because I have an free tracking account. I had to order mine on the phone so I did not expect an email. But I was tracking my credit card account. When it goes to pending or charged, you know that it's on the way.

BREAK BREAK BREAK - shifter will be in by tomorrow!

Not yet, my brother in law offered to help me do it for beer(cheaper than labor), so I'm just waiting on him since he's the mechanic...

Beer always cost more than labor.

Haha yeah if he gets drunk and messes it up, but I'm sure we'll be fine in the video the install doesn't seem too hard.

And I'm just going to buy some and we'll drink and work at his house..

I was too scared to drink while I was doing mine. Life would have sucked if I installed the shifter, turned the car on and attempted to back it out the garage. Lol. Funny as it may sound, I thought about doing exactly that because I was so tired - then I said "Wait! Don't get in the car"

I'm 3 hours to the south. If it was not for my boys soccer season I would drive all the way up there just for a beer!

I'm thinking it wasn't for the MT-82. Other shifters are in stock and ship same day.

No, it's for the mt82 I called this morning at 730 central time, asked what the wait is, she said they just have to assemble them so end of the week. I said if you can make it today I'll pay for better shipping, this is my only weekend somewhat off in 2 months and the only one in the for see able future. Got the shipping notice at 12. Being polite and nice can go a long way. Plus if they have the items in stock helps!

I got mine on a few days ago. Took my time with it - and doing it on jackstands sucks for the under car parts. Installing the shift boot is a pain in the *** as well.

Was worth it when I finally got it in and I took it for a function test. That 1-2 shift is...man, it's so easy-it is almost telepathic.

I took her to a local car show this last Friday and I got a lot of questions about it - I hope a few guys give MGW a good look when they get around to installing a shifter.

You don't need it, all it does is expose the handle more instead of the boot coming all the way up.

Well...it's amazing. Not quite the install I thought it would, and that boot is a pain in the ***. But it's an awesome shifter. If you are thinking about getting it stop thinking and do.

Ordered mine today. They are saying 2-3 weeks. Wish it were sooner so I could get it installed before my little road trip. Lol I also have to figure if I want to try and tackle this project. I was quoted $225. I'd rather avoid paying that much.

If you have four jack stands and a 3 ton jack you could save some of it. This job usually takes only a couple of hours so at this price you are paying over $100 per hour. There is room to negotiate here. Good luck .
