I might order one tomorrow. What's all this talk about "two post" "shifter brackets" with the Barton? Does the MGW have these as well?

The Barton two post is somewhat of a copy of the MGW shift bracket, but it can only be used with the MGW shifter. Can't go wrong with the MGW, can't speak for the Barton though.

The MGW replaces the entire shift mechanism. The Barton 2-post is an attempt to copy MGW's design.

So the shifter bracket is the box that sandwiches the shift linkage?

Ah, I had a feeling there was more to the Barton then originally suspected.

No the shift bracket is actually a bracket that attaches to the small shaft coming off of the back and secures the remote shifter to the body of the car, it truly is a poor design and, even worse, the stock shift bracket is a poor excuse for anything put on the car from the factory

Go with the MGW. I've had one for several months now in my (wife's) 2013 GT and absolutely love it. 1-2 shift is much improved & practically falls into gear on the 2-3 shift. I have a 2014 GT premium on order for me & have already ordered the MGW for it. Look at the video of the MGW vs the stock unit. Worlds apart. I can't speak for the Barton, but it still uses the factory lower box & rod bushings (I believe) . Having installed the MGW myself and comparing it side by side with the factory unit it's a no brainer to upgrade to SOMETHING.

I've watched the install video. It looks pretty simple. I like how it seems like it may be over engineered and it seems like they went to great lengths to perfect its functionality. I think I'm sold guys!

The install is a bit of a pain but doable. Just take your time and do things correctly, it only took me about 1 1/2 hours

You don't need small hands, just good dexterity

I installed mine (MGW) in my garage on jackstands. Took about 3 hours for me , but I'm very careful & methodical (slow). I see where guys do it in 1.5 to 2 hours and I'm sure that's very doable. An extra set of hands would make some things go much faster I'm sure. One thing I would strongly recommend & will definitely do on my next install concerns the inner boot. That is the only thing that can be troublesome. I have an MGW coming for the 2014 I have on order and I will, as soon as I get my next shifter, install the (inner) boot on the shifter, until I'm ready to do the actual installation. . My hope is, that it will be somewhat stretched out and easier to put on when I do my shifter install. As far as increased vibration, I don't seem to notice any & any increase in noise is negligible and I drive most of the time with the radio off. As I have stated before , $$$ well spent.

Before y'all start taking it apart. Watch the install video. They cover every detail. You might wanna grab a snack first, it's lengthy. opcorn:

Ordered mine on 5/11. Keeping my fingers crossed I'll get it by the end of next week. Called the other day and they were waiting for parts to come back from the plater. Cant wait to see if these shifters are as good as everyone says! Had a Barton on my 2010 so I took the MGW plunge this time.
