I am interested in knowing what that question was about not lifting while shifting? Do you mean when shifting up thru the gears at wot not lifting while shifting?

I'm pretty sure he's referring to power shifting, where you kick the clutch pedal and shift very quickly without lifting your foot off the gas pedal

Why not get an amazing knob from speeddawg.com instead of the generic MGW one? Plenty more amazing options.

Hi all I am the new guy, just bought my 2014 GT and need to get right to the shifter. have a few questions.
The stock shifter feels notchey, if I do not shift the gears slowly it does not want to just drop in gear, its has a little resistance. Will the shot throw shifter fix this problem
next I have been looking at the Barton and ford racing shifter, anyone have a link to the MGW product and give me your thoughts between the 3 of them.
lastly, if I want to reuse my stock knob from the 2014, can i use it?

Thanks Frank.

The MGW feels mechanical but smooth. Won't be as notchy as the stock shifter.

WWW.mgwltd.com is their website. Just look at the pictures between it and the Barton. The MGW is a complete replacement the Barton is not. The ford racing and Barton shifter are the same thing.

As long as the shifter you get had a 12mmx1.25mm thread your fine. The mgw can be purchased with an optional 12mmx1.75mm too. You don't want this if you want to use the stock shifter.

I changed my trans fluid at 28k and changed my shifter at 42k.

As for the new guy, ftodaro, you can solve most of your shifting problems with the Barton 2-post bracket but you will have a totally different driving experience with the MGW.

All this talk about MGW lately has me 2nd guessing my decision to have gotten the Barton with 2post... Don't get me wrong, I love my shifter and driving experience.... But knowing there's a better one out there that has such praise has me wondering now... Has anyone here with my setup switch over?? Is it worth the jump??
