I'm about to buy the MT-82 SHORT THROW SHIFTER for my 13 gt and I was wondering if I should go ahead and get the delux jamnut and washer, or is it even worth it? Also would it be smart to buy an extra handle that fits my old knob just in case, since I'm going to buy the m12 x 1.75 with their black knob?

You don't need the delux jam nut, and no don't buy the handle you will like the mgw knob better!

I still have to order mine, hopefully next weekish, and I am sure it is going to take forever.

MGW is the best on the market and they stand behind their product 100%. If anything breaks they fix it, and it firms shift as well as having a shorter throw, I have one and it effing rocks

There's supposed to be an adjustment to adjust the throw I believe but j haven't messed with mine since the day I installed it. There is also ways to adjust the firmness of the shifter, I have mine on full firm and I love it

I'll probably end up with a mgw, I'm gonna try the 2 post bracket first, to eliminate the 2-3 shift problems. I actually like the feel of the stock shifter.

The Barton 2-post strongly mimics the MGW shift bracket, I had the Barton shift bracket and it was great, in fact it feels very similar to the MGW as far as the rigidity if the shifting. If you want stock throw with confident shifts, the 2-post is the way to go.

Depends when you order. What stage of production they are in and how many people are ahead of you.

They've been busy, ever since this new shifter came out. I bought mine the day it went on sale, and i had mine delivered in 3 days. Of course I've been an mgw customer since 2009 as i bought 1 for my 2004 gt and my 2010 gt and when i placed the order for my 2012 they saw my purchase history and they got 1 right out to me. 1 thing you may not know is that if you live near their facility you can go there purchase 1 and if they are not busy in their shop they will install it for free for you. They are awesome folks down there. They are located in Georgia!

I just got off the phone with MGW and they said they will have them in stock next week. Also they will install for free, you just have to set up an appointment with them. The nice lady said that they already 75+ shifters on order to fulfill but they will ship out as soon as they get the individual parts to assemble them.

Quit whining :-p lol u get your install for free!! When I installed my Barton shifter and 2 post bracket, the stock bracket came down right on my face between my eyes, if I had a 2nd pair of hands or safety glasses I could've avoided that
