I'd been eyeing the MGW for some time, but found a Hurst on eBay (used for like 500 miles, probably because the guy bought an MGW haha) so I had to pull the trigger. I love the look, but the shift is just as bad as stock, just shorter. I'm not complaining, but at some point I WILL be going for the MGW. It's an all around great assembly.

Oh I also put in the SR performance bracket. Those dang Allen keys are a pain.

I have a Pro 5.0 in the garage that was used less than a week on my 05. I wouldn't give a $100 for a truck load of them.

Update

Barton Shifter is installed, took Buddy and I about an hour just to be careful because I have Murphys Law condition ( If it will break It will happen to me ).
I used Daynmat for noise and thread tape. No whine only noise is when you start up starter is a little louder.

Night and day difference in shiften. It stiffer and notchy but no problem shiften from 2nd to 3rd. I was out and about for about an hour going threw the gears with a smile on my face. Gt 500 mufflers and this shifter has transformed this car for a 60 year old

The next person at red light is in for a suprise

A most for 6 speed owners who want to get their mustang moving

Use all that empty space under your console to your advantage... Universal insulation from Home Depot, and that starter noise will be gone
