So the American Muscle GT500 spoiler DOES line up with the factory 2013 spoiler holes? Because according to AM, it doesn't.

I know the Ford OEM GT500 spoiler will use the same holes as the stock spoiler.

I'm kind of leaning towards the 500 spoiler. I like the Roush, but not sure I want to spend that much for one unpainted.

The American Muscle spoiler will line up with the stock holes from your stock spoiler. If you were going with a spoiler from the GT/CS then you would have to drill more holes.

Unless they changed the design, I put mine on about 14 months ago and it lines up perfectly

I'd like to know this too. I would assume its the gurney flap.

It is the Gurney flap also the OEM stance is not as tall as the aftermarket. I had a aftermarket one on my car for 6 months or so until I decided I wanted a OEM spoiler and after the install it took me a bit to get use to how low the OEM looked compared to the other brand. Oh ya no regrets and after seeing a few of my friends that have Shelby's I'm glade a made the switch to a more stock look.

I would say the gurney flap is the biggest difference. OEM spoilers are two piece and the aftermarket versions (or at least AM's version) is one piece

Just another thought on the spoiler of choice...my '13 GT/CS spoiler provided a perfect platform for mounting the back-up camera. I posted the pic on here earlier, and basically the camera is under the spoiler, with the left pedestal being a conduit for the camera wire. It worked perfectly, and gives a dirt/moisture resistant location that is actually vacuum cleaned when running the car due to the negative air pressure at the camera. The other advantage is the viewing perspective that gives a fish eye free view of 30' behind the car to the bumper using a 150 degree cam.

I would. it actually cost me less to get an OEM one and have it painted than getting an aftermarket one.

Yea the GT500 spoiler bolts right up, just make sure you have some double-sided 3M tape

My OEM one came with double sided 3M tape already attached. Do the other ones? Just wondering as that might also help someone in making a decision.

I don't remember for sure but I'm pretty sure that the AM ones do not have the tape
