Yes muffler deletes are raspy. My advice would be to get corsa extreme, borla atak, or stainless works which I think might be a muffler delete with resonators but sounds really good

If your state doesn't have emissions test then it is 100 percent legal

Lol still don't get how....can't really crawl under the stang, specially a lowered one. At the front. And they'd be full of it to say you don't have them by looking in the engine bay.

It's a federal law, just not enforced in a lot of places. Leaving the cats on my vote is Roush for the money. They are quiet enough to keep you out trouble when driving normal, at wot, they just scream badass very loud.

I'd say in states where they are pricks, they probably carry a mirror.

3rd world country police don't try and find you guilty for everything possible. Some things just don't make sense. The idea of protecting and serving the people is a long forgotten idea.

I have Magnaflow Competition (deletes) and I've been very happy with the sound. They're not too loud under 3,000 RPM but are very loud at WOT.

Here's a clip from Fontana speedway
http://youtu.be/dT4JEMSLv_I

I'm in SoCal also and have only had thumbs up from Cops.

Police are not there to serve and protect the people, they are there to protect the state. Sheriff's departments are there for the people, because they are elected by the people...With Cali being an exception...Communist state.
Any more, they are Tax collectors. They police the working man, not criminals. That being said there is an element of danger in there profession and and there are police out there who do take down harden criminals...However, those same police will arrest a teenager for doing a burnout or just hanging out with there friends...and that is BS.

Poor baby...life is so hard I know...

Officers are there to enforce laws, just because you don't agree with a certain law does not change it.

With that said it is against federal law to tamper with or remove functioning cats. I believe it is a $10,000 fine per occurance.

Hate to see the stereotyping as I was a LEO myself. Anyway...

Now just keep you're cats on or go with high flow cats from Motive Concepts.

If you were a LEO, then you for one, should know it's not stereotyping.

Its an opinion, he's entitled to it. I've spent many years outside this wonderful country, at least we have cops to bust our balls when we're breaking the law..... not extorting money from us because the State/ Country their protecting won't pay them. Until a person see's conditions and corruption like this he won't have the appreciation for what our LEO's offer. There will always be bad apples anywhere you go.... even with sworn officers. Sorry, didn't mean to go down a rabbit hole.

OP, Roush seems to be pretty popular, but they use 400 series stainless steel - rust tends to be a problem at welds with type of stainless. Being in CA you may not have that issue but the sound is pretty damn impressive. Magnaflow comp AB's sound nice as well and if you really want loud look at the MBRP race cat back.. You really can't get louder than that.

Officers should follow the laws they punish others for breaking....

To watch a cop do 90 in a 65 the other day to get to his spot on the highway and pull in to start running radar....I mean what?! Cops do not follow laws for anything anymore. Being a cop means you get to be a legal criminal with a power trip.

Not too say there are not good cops, but the Bad always outweighs the good. Always.

Apparently cops here don't like you to know which way they're turning. Either that or they disabled all of the turn signals on patrol cars.

I did learn a trick though...report all of the unethical crap you see to the police chief and complain like hell by making formal complaints. If you're observing it, chances are, you're not the only one who has noticed or has made an official complaint. They crappy cops will eventually get fired.

It's not the LEO's per say as it is more BULL**** laws these politicians come up with and PASS right under everyone's nose. Laws that have no purpose (safety, protection etc) other than to make $$$$$$ for the state or federal government because our complete governmental system is a fraud!! Do you really think cat-less exhaust systems are destroying the ozone? When the government itself does more destruction to the environment than any single entity! What about front license plate requirements? Window tint laws? Holy **** I could on for days about pointless laws just limited to automotive, that's not even going into other laws and regulations implemented that WE have to follow strictly because some money grubbing politician wants votes!

I'm sorry to say this, because yes I have SERVED my country with military service, but I am so SICK of our government, of the politics and of Corporate America. Don't even get me started.

I'll be the first one to proudly fly my American flag , because it stands for the freedoms and liberties that MY forefathers spilled their blood for. It does not fly for the bull**** that takes place with this corruption in the government. Just because its a law, doesn't make it right. And just because its a law, doesn't mean I'm going to follow it. If I am making payments on my car and I want a catless exhaust for performance increase, I'm gonna do it. Mr. Governor nor Mr. President not Mr. LEO is making my car payments. /rant lol

Its actually 1 reason I got a go pro. I've followed cops breaking the speed limit with the go pro recording and when they pull back next too me I point at it and they leave in a hurry.

I think the reporting is a good idea. Maybe I should sending these videos in too. I really only was doing that too protect myself.

All this said I haven't really had trouble with cops, but I see all the stuff they pull and even if it doesn't affect my directly someone's days getting ruined by it.

I'm sure everyone knows when they are responding to a call or going to back up another officer. There are many times an officer is responding and lights/siren are not run...

Yes, there are bad cops. Branding all officers as bad is no different than branding all mustang drivers as speeding dangers to society.

+1 although I get pissed off when getting pulled over for not having a front plate, or tinted windows, im extremely glad those brave officers are then if I ever truly needed them.

I don't think that is right. How are we to ever tell when they are doing one or the other. Same thing applies. Plus I've followed enough cops to know this doesn't always happen.

Also that is fine on branding mustang owners that way. Our insurance companies do. They don't generally look at your driving record and say, "oh hey you are different and no tickets and accidents!" They go oh hey you are under 25 so you WILL be a risk.

Welcome to life. Cops are not exempt. I'd like to say I am grateful for them but as stated on other threads, when they can do 90+ on the highway for no reason but still take longer to respond to a call than ordering a pizza, there is an issue.
