Trading 2013 for 2013?

Has anyone ever traded a Mustang for another Mustang same year but different color? I really wanted Grabber blue but ended up with black. Love it, but don't love keeping it clean. I'm thinking I'd get boned by trying to trade.

Boned wouldn't be the word for it. If you love your car, your still gonna spend the same amount of time cleaning it, no matter what color it is.

I say keep it for two reasons....

1)Do you really want to wake up every day and go out to see that bright blue thing in your yard?

2) You will lose your ars on the trade in...

If you really like that color, can afford the hit of being upside down in your trade and it makes happy...Go for it. If it were me, I would stick with the black.

Yea, not seriously considering it because I'm sure a dealer would love to bend me over, and I do love my black. Love it even more when I can afford to black the whole thing out, slam it and get a nice chin spoiler. I just love grabber blue with black trim.

Yeah, the dealer would not use lube either.

I know how you feel, I wanted a silver one and bought a white one because of the smoking deal I got. In a couple weeks I will have my wheels and then I will be set. I am going to black it out, I think the black on white contrast will be nice. I am excited

Send a message via AIM to lowflyn
It would be cheaper to spend $6k on a quality paint job on your 2012

Thats great! I like the color too, but over time it has become annoying to me. Same with yellow, remember when everyone had yellow everything...Im not trying to insult you, this is just my personal preference.

I don't agree. There is only one disgusting color for these cars and it is GHIG. I know I am going to get hate but that color is so gross. Grabberblue was my second color choice to race red.

Yea i thought it would be a better color in person. It's a nice color but it isn't as great as all the hype. I love DIB though

I know you don't mean it offensively... Even if you did I wouldn't care lol, my only point is that grabber blue is made for some people and not for others.

only thing you might be able to do without getting completely destroyed on loosing money is find someone else with a grabber blue stang that wants to make the same trade in reverse with the same features.

just a thought. haha.

LOL. Wishful thinking! I'm happy with what I got, but can't say I wouldn't entertain that idea.

If you are careful with how you do it, grabber blue accents could look really good on the black car. Just be careful on doing so. We've seen cars that have gone WAY to far with it.

There are 3 Mustangs just like you described running around here. They look good...but there are 3 of them...The only difference is the kind of wheels they have and the wing.

I've yet to see a Grabber blue on the streets here in Jersey. And actually, the nearest dealer with one on the lot is 185 miles away lol.

Wrapping the car would cost around 5K done professionally. At that point might as well paint the car.

The only reason to wrap a car, IMHO, is when doing a matte color. Matte based paints are a PITA to care for and degrade very quickly. Just having someone run there hand for a few seconds back and forth on matt paint on a car can start to polish it to a dull shine.

Keep your black. All colors are hard to keep clean...I originally wanted GHIG...Love that color unlike some others lol or race red but I thought to myself....I will probably get tired of that bright *** green or red after a while. I was in love with the grey too and have no regrets! Black is awesome anyways....it was on my list too but they didnt have a black MT.

Plus you'll preserve the natural paint and keep the resale value higher

I was torn between GB and DIB when I bought mine. The Grabber Blue would have been extra cool since it matches the contact lenses I usually wear, but I figured that Deep Impact would draw a little less attention from those cars with all the lights on them that want to pull you over and chat with you. Of course then I got two big white stripes on mine which negates any stealth value I had.

Looks nice. I've probably had more grey cars than black ones. Always an excellent color choice.

I'm in northern NJ and have an 11 Grabber Blue GT, drive it every day 😃. It was VERY tough finding one around here. Had to drive to Reading PA to get it cause they were no where to be found around me. Haven't seen another one yet!

I planned on going with my buddy this Sat but it looks like its going to rain. Heard there is always a great turnout. If not this weekend, definitely next.
