widening brembos?

Love my Brembo rims. But I want a wider tire than they can hold. Is there a way to SAFELY widen the rims? I just want some fat @$$ tires in the rear. Not interested in buying different rims.

Yea but it costs a decent but of money, I'm not sure how much but I'm thinking something like 2-300 per wheel. You might as well buy new wheels at that price

I looked into myself, it was about 250 a wheel and there was a two week turn around. The brembo wheels are nice, but heavy as fuk. I switched to forgestar f14 in 18's 9/10 and it feels like I dropped a fat friend from my car.

I'm thinking of widening my Brembos as well. Gorgeous wheels.

The brembos really are very heavy, ~35 lbs per wheel. My forgestars are 19x9/10 and they weigh ~23 and 24 lbs respectively. It's a huge difference

I would imagine that widening wheels would weaken them too. I would always always always feel nervous drag racing or auto xing with widened rims.

Maybe I am wrong but it seems like taking a single mold rim and cutting it and putting a new piece of metal in that has to be soldered twice just seems iffy to me.
