I painted some things!!!

So I just thought I'd share the pictures. mainly because I painted the Boss 302 STB. Looks so much better. Before anyone says anything, they are not done. They are going to go through the curing period and then get pulled and wet sanded smooth and painted again. Trying to make them tough as dirt being that they are under the hood. Also the engine cover didn't get painted because I am going to get a boss mani soon and didn't see the point in wasting my time.

Also found a picture of my car the day she was brought home a little more than 2 years ago. She has changed a lot since then...

Thanks! I hadn't seen anyone with the 302 strut bar painted before, if someone has I missed it. I was going to do it black, but gave in to red.

It is the duplicolor Ford Red engine enamel. It actually matches pretty close. In person you can tell it is just a few shades off, but not enough most people would ever say anything.

I like it. The funny thing is that it was only yesterday that I was talking to someone about painting my boss STB to match the body color too. Hilarious!

Not a fan. I got it before the tuner so passed on the steeda or any others I actually like that "require" a tune. It sounds okayish. It reuses the stock intake tube and the mounting points on the CAI to the heat shield it sits in have cracked badly.

Going to sell it maybe for a small amount soon as I can buy the steeda. I just have other things I want first haha.

Thanks! Haha nice! I know the other guy who painted his stuff and did the GT stb kind of subtle. I just didn't think painting it black would look as good as red. When I get the boss intake I am going to attempt if I feel I can painting the chrome to red too. Think the whole combo will look really sharp.

I say do it man. It works really well with the flow of the car.

Looks really good. Plastidip indeed is some cool stuff. I did my exhaust tips awhile back. Had my badges done already, don't like a lot of chrome.

Looks great in the photo, but I'm not a fan of painting anything that 'mostly matches' the right color. If it isn't an exact match, people are gonna notice. Especially on a special model like the Boss.

Since I don't have a boss and it really is just for under the hood and not seen 24/7 I am not worried about it. It really is hell a close. Plus. 15 dollars for engine enamel vs the 300+ for painting it all race red. I'll take the engine enamel.

Yeah the whole thing. A former member had the silver parts painted red, it looked good but I wonder how the whole manifold would look race red! I did a google search with no luck. But I did come across Wnt2gofst's boss manifold and he's got the silver parts painted red.

It might have looked better with just blue letters on it. It looks good but almost too much blue on it. Know what I mean. Red may look better though who knows. It's all personal taste anyway.
