Brenspeed+ vortech anyone?

Well I'm debating the vortech is going on this weekend and I just have the vortech canned tune for now . I like the email tunes from brenspeed due to they will update it when i buy a cai and boost a pump . Brenspeed is good for 600 at tires and cost 300 bucks . My local tuner will Dyno tune it but will have to pay for new time anytime I add a mod and he charges 450 . Should I just stick with brenspeed as I know il never be done with mods

Well... It's all up to you, if you do the dyno tunes you probably get more power and a slightly better tune, but if you go with the email tunes they are great and will save alot of money for mods. If I were you I would do email tunes and then get a dyno tune when your done with modding for a wile. Good luck!

If you do email tunes with FI you better data log the living crap outta it before you do anything other than limp the car along.

Also I thought someone on here had a bad experience with brenspeed for FI tunes. Said their N/A tunes are great but the FI tunes were not so good. Have to see if I can find that info again.

Found it. I trust his opinion a lot. Might want to at least think about what he has to say.

You really need to baby it straight to the dyno on vortechs tune to be safe. If he's a good tuner, you'll get the best and safest result. $150 difference for peace of mind is great, seeing as though you just dropped thousands, I wouldn't take the cheap way out.

+1. No way I would drive on an email tune with FI. Not a good idea at all.

Well my local tuner said the vortech tune is safe and I won't have any issues running it as he just did a 5.0 who used vortech tune he said it was like 550 at wheels . He said wait until I buy bap and cai then do Dyno tune otherwise I'm wasting money . And that was first negative post about brenspeed I've seen I'm only 3 hrs from them so idk

Id be more worried about my motor running correctly then a blower. Both are important, yes, but a new 5.0 motor is alot more expensive

And looking at brenspeeds test car that thing hauls and I found a lot of positive stuff about them as well . Guess il be hitting up google when I get off . Lol thanks guys and Dyno tune is best but I have so much more to do and don't wana pay 450 every time I add a new mod

Thats pretty crappy the guy charges you full price everytime you go in. I would see if maybe you can find other tuners in your area. I know when i had my ls1 vehicles i always took my cars to a guy in Maryland who was one of the top tuners for ls1s on the east coast. He charged $500 per car, but gave free tuning for life for that particular vehicle.

I run a lund tune, with my paxton. It is an email tune, I have at least 10 data logs since installing my kit. I have never had an issue and highly recommend lund for fi tunes. You can get lund to remote tune your car on a dyno, if you want the piece of mind it is being done all at one time. I had no issue running up to redline in 3rd gear on the street, but thats me.

I think they prefer the id1000's due to easier tuning.

I highly doubt you will have issues with email tuning! I have two email tuned vehicles and the only reason they were on dynos were to see how much they made. Procharged f150 made 339rwhp/378rwtq @12psi and lightning made 570rwhp/663rwtq @18psi. Both on email tunes that were data logged. The lightning was even running e85 and 80# injectors from Siemens deka.
