Any 2013/2014 Ruby Red owners?

Hey everyone. I placed an order for a Ruby Red 2014 GT which is due to arrive in a few months.

Now im getting a little worried about the color not looking as good out of the brochure. So I was wondering if any of you Ruby Red owners could share some pictures to help me get a better idea and also put me at ease.

Thanks!

Thanks. I've come across this pic on the internet but I am skeptical about it being photoshoped.

Ruby Red is my second choice after Sterling Grey. Regrettably, my local dealer hasnt ordered any 2014s in SG so I went for RR.

It's an awesome color with the saddle leather interior. If gray is what I wanted tho, gray is what I'd get, your ordering the car anyway.

Go look at the dealer for other models in RR. Ford uses it on several.

I forgot to mention I'm from Dubai.

My local dealer placed orders for all other colors except SG and GHIG and are due to arrive in here September. So if I had to go with RR so I wouldn't wait.

Any idea if the new Edge comes in Ruby Red? Because I might have spotted one on the road the other day but wasn't sure if it was the same color.[COLOR="Silver"]

The color looks better in person, pictures don't do it justice.

I doubt they're the same. RR is the darkest out of the available reds.

Never seen the ruby red, or if I have I just wasn't paying attention, but i loved the candy red until I saw it in person. I saw it sitting next to my car, race red, and thought the candy red was gross. haha.

I thought race red looked to orange in the sunlight almost like a crayon.

in the sunlight? Don't think I've ever seen it orange in person when clean, dirty sometimes looks orange. I will agree it is a hard color to take photos of. It looks orange in a lot of pictures if not careful.

it is a terribly annoying color to maintain. If it does have a light layer of dust/dirt on it, it does look orange. I've done that a few times walked out and looked at the car confused. Long as they are kept clean they look good, but it is a weird color.

Hello from the black mustang community ./wave I think we would write a book about how hard a color is to maintain.

OP, I've seen ruby at my local dealership. It was parked next to a race red 'vert. I have to say, I am not a fan of red...but between the two, the ruby red was a better color to have. More sparkle to it, and it looks like a deeper finish than the race red and candy. Tends to be maroon in a certain light, though.

yeah but you guys chose black on purpose When I got race red I didn't know it'd change colors just by looking at it funny! haha.

With the different colors, I almost feel you have to look at them separately and decide which one you like. My reasoning for this is my truck. In person people who see the truck by itself, truck is red, definitely red. Then they see it sitting next too my race red stang and they ask me why my truck is pink and I see it as pink too! Just one of those things of the different colors messing with each other.

not saying you'd change your mind, just that one color next too another can make you feel differently about it.

The dark maroon color is exactly what I am after. I've seen it on the Ford website and it looked really stunning.

Was worried it would look be similar to the race or candy reds.

Mines not a DD so everytome I drive mine I like it to look like glass... But yea race red tends to have an orange look even when just a bit dusty, but that's under the sun... In the shade or on a cloudy day, race red glows like u can't imagine, especially when clean

That does look pretty good with the vossens. The ruby red just reminds me of a color that should be on a luxury sedan, not a mustang. But like I said, it looks pretty darn good with those vossens.

+1 I don't really feel like it screams mean. It looks good though. The ruby red over the candy red.

The easiest color to take care of is for sure ingot silver. I kind of miss how easy it was to take car of that color. Rock chips blended right in, and dirt wasn't very visible. Race red requires some maintenance for sure.

I have a 2014 GT Premium, Ruby Red / Saddle interior on order. Same wheels as KBsGT. There was a 2014 Ruby Red on dealers lot parked next to a Candy Red 12 or 13. Honestly did not see a lot of difference between the colors, but both were a little dusty. I've seen a few RR cars all cleaned up & & think it looks awesome in sunlight or under lights. Actually Sterling Gray is my first choice, but my wife already has a 2013 GT in that color. I ended up agonizing over what color for my 2014, but definitely wanted Saddle interior which narrowed my choices. I think I'll be quite pleased with the RR.
