Roush supercharger for my 5.0 automatic.

To start out with I have a 2012 5.0 automatic and I was thinking of going with a Roush Phase 1 supercharger because of the price. Today I called two Roush Ford dealers for pricing and install but since its Saturday I guess I'll have to call back Monday ?

Few questions I have does the PCM need to be sent to Roush to be programmed or could a tune just be loaded on to the SCT tuner that I have already for the car ? Anyways this is something new to me also is there anything else I need to know before purchasing one and if there is any one in the New Orleans area that can recommend a shop for the install oh ya just thought about it I heard if with the phase 1 kit you retain the factory warranty ?
Ill also take any other recommendations for other brand supercharges.

Thanks....

I'm open for suggestions, I do know I want the supercharger on top of the intake vs like the pro charger that sits in front of the motor.

Daily driver no drag racing maybe some roll on's on the interstate.
I just want more power, nothing wrong with that.

In order to have the roush tune and roush warranty you have to send your PCM to roush. One day I'll have myself a roush tvs on my motor as well. If you go with an aftermarket tuner (which I would highly recommend) an SCT is more than enough. Also you will get a lot more power, but most likely a dealer will not install

Fair enough. The roush would be more than fine. Why have the dealership install? If your after having a warranty do this. It will be kinda a weak tune though. If you really want the power from the roush you'll want it dyno tuned.

While you keep the warranty by using the Roush tune it's pretty weak compared to a custom tune.VMP has their own line of Roush TVS blowers/tunes and own a car that uses it. Justins wife Rebecca is the one that drives it. Here's her 10.00 pass but she has since gone 9's. The Roush is a pretty impressive blower.

Dude, where are you located? I could install that for you at nowhere near that price. I've installed and sold plenty of these systems.

EDIT** Saw your avatar, LA is a bit far.

They're expensive brother. Roush dealers will always overcharge for install. I've sold a lot of custom kits and a few Roush stage kits, its a pretty BA kit. One of my employees is pushing right at 650RWHP on 93 octane but its custom of course.

Might be worth the drive for jaymans pricing. Once you figure in how much you'll save and then add in gas money. Come out way ahead.

I just purchased a Roush kit from Brenspeed. Doing the install myself and waiting on the unit to arrive. I ourchased the 650R kit they have. Why don't you give chase a call at Brenspeed. They provide several kits with the tune. The tunes are pretty spot on. Good luck.
