Weird sound coming from mid front end

So I have a 2013 mustang gt with a borla "S" type car back exhaust but I have this weird noise coming from the front end air of sounds like when you were a kid and you put an aluminum can on the rear wheel of your bicycle to make that dirt bike noise. Does anyone have any idea to what this is?

Did it make the noise before installing aftermarket exhaust? Is that the only mod you've done?

Yes exhaust is the only thing I have done and no I never noticed the sound it's just been this past month or so. I went under the car and felt around with my hand for anything loose and nothing.

Does the frequency increase or decrease with regards to how fast or slow you are going?

So it's with respect to RPM's. If you are sitting still and rev it, you hear a tick? I'm guessing that's the noise you were trying to explain. Can you upload a video possibly? Could either be a motor tick, which I hope not. Or something loose in the exhaust.

Sounds to me like an exhaust leak or rattle. I would get under it and double check that everything is right and that your exhaust isn't touching anything and rattling. I just installed LT's and my OTA pipe is resting on the panhard brace giving a VERY annoying rattle. When I install my Steeda ultralites I'm going to fix it

So it is rattling because my buddy in PA who has a cobra and also a 12 said it could very well be an exhaust leak. What are ways to fix that?

Depends on where the exhaust leak is. Anyway you can locate it? If it's at the aftermarket axle-backs, it should just need tightening. Or you could get dealership to do it?

Sounds like nothing too major just lack of checking all the points before saying the job is complete when they put on the exhaust.
