Part Question

What part is right in front of the radiator in the '12 GT? Oil Cooler or A/C Condensor?

A/C or Auto Tranny cooler. I think only Boss's came with Oil Cooler's factory

A/C condenser. Oil coolers are generally much smaller.

Someone in their process of vandalizing my car, punctured it and the radiator. Any recommendations on an upgrade or what not?

Sob! You could get a Boss radiator. They're like $500. But they're supposed to cool better then the stock GT. that's still sucks. God I hate people sometimes.

There's really no aftermarket parts for upgrading an AC condenser. I would just get another stock one and replace it. Then get the refrigerant recharged

Since your condenser was damaged and all your freon leaked out, moisture has now gotten into the system. When you have your condenser replace they are going to need to replace the accumulator as well and then evacuate the entire system and recharge. If they don't do this, your a/c will never cool the same again.

Btw, how did it get vandalized?

Check out this mishimoto aluminum radiator I've found. It's a lot cheaper then the boss. http://m.mishimoto.com/ford-mustang-...rmance-05.html

Dang! Am has it even cheaper!

I like that the Mishimoto has all aluminum tanks, because the Boss has plastic tanks. That's one perk. As far as quality, I dunno? I'm still Rollin stock.

Sounds better to me just odd to have a Japanese part on a Mustang

I've got a Mishimoto radiator cover.
I'm sure their are many parts of the mustang that are made in other countries.

I'd advise against buying the cover. It's fitment isn't quite right and it seems like they cut some corners in the fabrication stages.

Did it feel lighter/heavier than the stock one?

I didn't get to compare the two. The body shop that repaired my car lost the original. But I'd assume the Mishimoto cover is heavier.

Well either way it looks good on your car! I think I may just go into my vehicle funds and spring for a CF one.

They don't need to replace accumulator too common misconception would be different if system had been completely open for lengthy time period

If he still has a hole in it, it's been open all this time. That's lengthy enough. No misconception there.

If he replaced the condenser only, it'll work but I promise you, it will not cool as good as it used to on hot days. I'm speaking from personal experience.

This is true, I didn't even think about it but primer is absolutely right, I'm an hvac tech (I should've known right? Lol) and most small A/C systems are exactly the same

Didn't piss anyone off. Just stupid *** poor punk vandals, part of living on the poor side of the tracks. It was the base off a planter, that sticks in the ground. House a block over got the plant thrown though their window, that's how I knew what it was.
