Get taller tires. But like mentioned above, how often do you think you'll go that fast?

I have 26.5" tires in the rear and still max out at about 160ish in 5th gear at 7k rpms

Yea pretty funny. I liked that one. Good thing I didn't get those 4.10s then. So it's not that they are bad. They just aren't something I need at the moment. How are 3.73 gears for daily driver though?

It's of my understanding 3.90's are a good match for the boss mani? But there noisy and only very few (maybe 1) make 3.90's

Also many guys FI and n/a are taking there boss mani's off and going back to stock. It basically just changes the power band. Yes you have more pull up higher but that's because your power band comes in later. Then the boss hold the peak out longer (+7600). Also if you plan on living life above 7,000 rpm's I'd spring for some billet oil pump gears

Really? I haven't read or heard anything like that. I mean I know everyone and their moms get the boss mani and a CAI and tune as their first mods. I just can't fathom so many ppl buying them and they don't do what they are suppose to do.

3.73's are great for daily driving. I have a little more low end grunt, get into the power band faster and I still get 25 mpgs on the highway with all of my current mods minus the lighter wheels and the long tubes

Damn dude 25 mpg? That's a lot. You don't know how close I was to buying those 4.10s. I was already putting in my CC info to purchase them.

The intake DOES do what it's supposed to do. In every aspect. It's how you drive the car and what you plan on doing with it? If you like your power down low keep the stocker. If you like your power up high get the boss. The boss really doesn't GAIN much HP. It just holds the peak longer. Stock will start falling off after 6800 were as the boss keeps going to 7600. On a dyno the PEAK #'s are the same. But the curve looks WAY different. For me I have no need to rev my car to 7600 rpm. On the strip I hit the traps rite in the MEAT of 4th.
The most recent 5.0 mag did a comparison of the CJ and boss mani's. the claim is the CJ fixes the low end loss but from the charts there only slight differences and the CJ actually has a nasty dip around 3k rpm compared to the boss. For how much the CJ intake is w/the tb it to me isn't worth it unless you have a BUILT motor (heads porting, cams, LT's, ect). I believe the CJ crest motor pumps out over 500hp n/a?
If you like a nice intake for both performance and bling look at the MMR ROADRUNNER billet aluminum intake! Now that's a fine piece of work! There also custom made for street or race apps. They can custom make it for just about every app and will handle HUGE boost pressures! Check it out! MMR coyote making almost 1800hp and almost in the 6's. it's the same intake tarry reeves /beefcake is using now

That's what a CJ intake and TB is going to run you. They make a street/NA version I believe now too. It has slightly shorter runner lengths. Should be available now/soon

This post is 100% spot on. You described exactly what the Boss Intake is here.
