2014 Mustang GT idle chirp

Hey guys was wondering if maybe this was just a normal characteristic of these 5.0's, but my car has 900 miles on it and I am getting this annoying chirp that I hear at idle. It seems to get faster under load, but once I'm driving the car I can't hear it.

Here is a video of what I am hearing. The camera is sitting right outside of the driver side door, which is where I can hear it the most, the engine fan is so loud that its hard to pin point where it's really coming from.

I have the same issue with my 2014 gt it has 4000 miles on it. I posted a thread "loud belt" asking the same thing. A few people said they have it while others don't.

Did you try removing your belt to make sure that was the issue? I'm not sure if this is just the engine tick people talk about.

Lol I started a thread when I was hearing the same noise in my last 5.0 ...... My tick or chirp or ping whatever you wana call it wasn't as consistent as yours seems to be. I had a valve sticking and a piston rubbing the inside of my cylinder head. Drained the oil and it had more metal in it than a scrap yard. Open the hood and listen to it, see If you can tell which bank it's coming from or if its near the fan, belts, ect. No mods? Have you changed the oil? What octane are you using? These cars constantly ****** and advance timing as they see fit there's a lot of movement some noise is expected.

They are noisy engines, but mine does not seem that loud. With only 900 miles, i would just take it to the dealer, and have them check the oil. Take advantage of that warranty.

When you take your car to the dealer does the warranty only apply once or for as many times during the specified time?

You don't just get 1 fix haha. As long as it's under warranty, anything and everything!
