2013 exhaust upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust on my 2013 GT. I'm leaning towards the Roush or Flowmaster. Any help would very much be appreciated! Bolt on only! Thank you!

I went with the flowmaster outlaws. Wanted the car to sound like it has over 400 horse.

I also have 2013 GT and looking at the Roush and Flowmasters. I read some of the reviews on AmericanMuscle.com and some say there is a drone at about 2k rpms. I my self am favoring the Roush.

Is there a HP gain on any of them? Haven't looked at that yet!

Don't know about the HP numbers, but I have the Roush axle backs and couldn't be happier. No drone whatsoever, and pretty calm at highway cruising speeds, but when you open it up, the car really comes to life

I don't understand why people just buy an axel back and don't go for at least the Catback system? Seems like a waste to me.

The Borla set ups I've seen on YouTube all look like **** on the 13+ cars, the tips stick out way to far!

Why? For not much money at all you can really change the sound of the car. The really power comes from deleting the cats. Car comes with an h pipe already so unless youre changing to an x no difference at all just a slightly bigger diameter pipe. And the tips only stick out far on the single tips not the quad conversion...

What if you end up changing your exhaust out to something different with single tip, you need to buy a new bumper because yours is cut now?

Don't get me wrong it looks nice, but down the road you never know what you may want to change to.

How do they sound with Longtubes? I know that some mufflers are either too loud or raspy if you end up adding headers down the road. I'm looking into the Magnaflow Steet Series Catback, but can't seem to find a decent video of them on YouTube. Everyone's sounds like they were recorded using a Motorola Razr.

I also vote borla s type. I had the roush and when i got long tubes and x pipe they were ridiculously loud!! I switched to the s type and I could not be happier. There loud when you want it to be loud and just right at idle. And jegs has them 100. Cheaper then anybody else. But Am does do price match...

I don't see how a Catback isn't worth the coin, the stock pipes are crushed all over.

In my opinion if you're going to get a catback I would look at Stainless works or Magnaflow. The magnaflow competition catback and SW catback sound like pure sex and they use 304 stainless. Borla catback is great, don't get me wrong, but its very, very expensive. I run the Borla s type axleback with some custom o/a pipes and Kooks headers and kooks quad h pipe. Sounds great. If you're going to keep your cats there really is no difference HP wise (maybe 2-4) if you decide to get a cat back or axle back. This is for an N/A car, going F/I will of course free up much more HP.

Is it normal for the Roush to be rusting where the hangers are welded?

I chose the Ford Racing Touring axle-backs. Borla makes them, I believe. Easy on, easy to adjust. Hits the right note for something way better than stock, but not as loud for those who aren't looking to annoy someone. A very small drone at 2k rpms that really disappears at 200 rpms below/above that. The cans won't discolor either, as some of the $350 sets will do -- these are all stainless. These do protrude from the body, but don't extend beyond rear fascia.

Just from experience, I would not go wish the Roush axle backs. You will not gain any hp. One thing to look for is the inlet diameter. Roush are stock 2 3/4. The only axle backs that you will gain hp, if any, would be a 3" diameter. I had roush and thought they sounded great, but they were too raspy once you get in the higher rpms. It really became annoying. I then added 3" heartthrob cat back with flowpacks. This helped a tad bit, but I still didn't like the rasp. I then added the RTR mufflers, and man are they SICK! They are deep, and don't rasp or drone at all. My next addition was the kooks 1 7/8 with kooks boss 302 h pipe and side pipes. It is just straight mean!

Sound clip with high flow cats, heartthrob w/flowpacks, and RTRs.

Sound clip with kooks setup
