Trunk lid cover

Hello everyone,

I'm a new member and I just got my 2011 GT. Its my first mustang and so far I love it. That said, they'res a lot I want to change about it but I don't know much on these things. One of the first things I want to do is remove the plastic cover on the trunk. I like the smooth look of the regular painted surface over the plastic. It doesn't look difficult to pry off but it looks like the faux gas cap is part of that cover. I noticed I can pull that off the plastic cover too. If I remove that can I just pull the faux gas cap off the cover and re-apply it to the regular surface? Any info on this helps.

Thanks!

If you are talking about that ugly piece of Tupperware looking decklid look in my pics and you can see if it's the same and if so I show a removal of it. If you have questions let me know if I can help.....Oh welcome

I think he was talking about the decklid cover that the OP wants to remove.
