Hey guys, I'm planning on getting some S types soon, but have a question on the years. I have a 13, and have seen that there are two possible models the 11837 and the 11789. On AM it says the 11837 is the one that comes up for the 13-14.

Basically, here is the question, does either model work or do I need to go with the 11837?

I believe the 11789 are for your car. They have different length tips. The other one fits 11/12.

So there is a new version where the tips don't stick out really far?

Here's the two products on AM. They have the exact same picture, same description, and they are the same price, but they are different model numbers. Also, when I am looking online, the 11789's are always cheaper than the 11837's.

According to Borla's website, the part number that fits the 2013-2014's is 11837.

So does anyone know the real difference? I hate how the borla tips stick out on my 13 and I'm wondering if they made a new version to correct this.

I sent a message to Borla yesterday, so hopefully I get an answer in the next couple of days.

I'm a borla dealer, yes they revised the tips for the 13+ models. Whole muffler is about 3 inches shorter to accommodate the shorter diffuser.

This makes me mad. I purchased the exhaust when it was marketed as a 11-13 exhaust. The tips drive me crazy. I wonder if borla or American muscle will do anything about this.

Not much of a company when you release something you know don't fit to start with.

I wonder if they're going to do anything for people who already bought the S-types to give them a proper fit

Why would they, they knew it didn't fit to start with.

It was marketed as a 11-13 fitment. If they new it wouldn't fit then they wouldn't have marketed it that way.

So just clearing this up...
Both part# will fit but the 11837 has the shorter tips?

I purchased the 11789 ones and they do stick out a few inches. At first I didn't like the look much, but a ton of people have complimented them and they grew on me. I wouldn't switch them out for the shorter ones if I were given the option. I just wish they were a little louder...
