Please tell me you've data logged the brenspeed tune and have dialed it in? I sure hope you're not running a mail order supercharger tune for the first time ever on the dyno

+1. bc if it spikes lean there is a chance they wont catch it in time, and could be bad.

Although I completely agree with this post, I've personally seen brenspeed tunes dialed in first time without data logging. I don't know how they do it, guess they have just tuned enough of these cars. Last tune I saw from them could have only been better if your goal was to extract every possible horsepower from the car. I personally would data log any tune for piece of mind minimally

Car had issues I installed kit myself mind you and never have before . Car only put down 466 and max boost was 3 psi meaning that maybe the intercooler pipes arnt connected? Leaking boost somewhere? And my afr was to high above 4k so idk what happened so stressed Guna spend 500 to get it looked at

---------- Post added at 09:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:16 PM ----------

Also the v3 has a rattling sound like ball bearings in. It is that normal

Great learning experience. At least nothing bad happened on the dyno. Now u have something to look forward to again. With everything hooked up right and no leaks, dyno'd again.

Don't be disappointed brother. It's the first time uve ever done it. U have to allow for the learning curve.

Just take it home and go over everything again. Take ur time and dont rush. It's all together and u own it. Just go back through it and see where the problem is.

I'm going to call a shop fri just going to have them look over intercooler piping and belt. But belt is tight so has to be piping . And car doesn't purge as much air as it should so may look at bov as well

The belt is not slipping on the pulley? If u had some tape to wrap the seams, then run it, u could tell if it was a leak.

So going through everything I notice that I do have a aftermarket bov and i did put a block off on the old one but didn't put the gasket on the old blow off would that be a huge issue?

Did you hook up the bov properly? Also, no need to spend money getting it looked at. Check all vacuum lines and make sure you intake connections are tight. The sound of the supercharger is normal with a centrifugal and it's even louder with an open filter intake.

My aftermarket one is Hooked up with the vacuum line going from it to top of intake I used a block off plate on old place for bov but didn't put gasket in idk if that one thing would cause all of those

Gaskets are made for a reason.

So explain the setup. The blow off valve, does it only use one vacuum? I'm thinkin the gasket would probably be needed to completely seal off.

My new bov has the vacuum connected to the end of it and has me use a block off plate on old place where old bov would go . My retareded self didn't put gasket on I just bolted the block off on with no gasket . But would that cause me not to get any boost ? The location of old bov is directly under the sc .

Pushing that air out anywhere would make it lose boost. There are no unplugged vacuums anywhere is there? I would start with that gasket. How hard is it gonna be to get to? What is used to connect the piping together?

congrads on your supercharger,I just had one installed from VMP tuning. Running 10# of boost with a 85mm pulley and got 597 hp and 520 # of torque to the rear wheels on the dyno.

Uhm yes most definitely that gasket will cause it to leak. Remember not only is there no gasket but under boost you are literally compressing air on that block off plate.

There could be more wrong. I commend you for trying the install, but without any experience doing this, I would have taken it to a shop afterwards to have them check everything over.

Replace the gasket and if you still have issues I would pay the $500 to have them check everything out. $500 isn't much considering the pressure taken off your back.

yes,it is a mustang dyno, but I'm using the biggest pully [85mm] because it is my daily driver with a conservative tune. I only expected 8-9# of boost. Raised the voltage to 14.6 so I get alittle more out of the fuel pump.

It's really not hard to diagnose a low boost issue. It's always going to be an air leak, vacuum leak, or slipping belt. Check all connections and if they are tight it isn't an air leak. Check all hoses and if they are good it's not a vacuum leak. Tighten the belt tensioner and add larger drive/auxiliary pulleys and there goes your slipping belt. The hard part was getting it on the car and you already did that.

I thought about belt slippage too. I just thought surly, they would send the right size idler pulley.
