Get a metal T fitting for vacuum hose for like .79 cents at Home Depot. Cut a vacuum hose in half and T it off anywhere to your boost guage. Problem solved.

There's more than enough knowledgeable people that can help you with this. I've installed Atleast 20+ supercharger on these 5.0s.

But I already know its not making boost car feels same and on Dyno 460 at tires means its making probably a pound of boost belt is tight problem has to be towards intercooler more and only way to get there is drop bumper guess my day off is ruined again . What happened to all this. You made it seem like it was a powerhouse. And to think that you were pushing it before you ever got to the dyno and now you had problems. Your lucky, it could have been alot worse. And then you talk about how easy it gets squirrelly and you only have 460rwhp. What the hell are you gonna do with 600?

For that much money and for how much they wanna charge to fix it, I would have to fix it myself. Even if it meant taking if back down to the bumper being off.

I'm not sure if this makes sense, but these coyotes benefit most by doing all the necessary suspension mods first to keep the power planted to the ground with less wheel hop... Could it be possible that that install was done correct but be may be lacking traction to see the benefits of the sc??

No, it doesn't. Car would still rock out if everything was installed correctly.

Yeah, especially if you have a MT and 373s. Not that much of a power loss though. Some shops are still used to running the cars in 4th bc of the previous GTs. I ran 1 4th gear pull just for the hell of it and it put down 543rwhp, 5th gear showed 560 and 558 so that's still not your problem. Has to be air leak

Are you still running the vortec canned tune. From my research the tune sucks and you are leaving a **** ton of power on the table. I installed my paxton by myself and have a boost gauge at 7k I see 9 lbs. with stock pulley offroad x-pipe custom 4" intake and a lund tune.

---------- Post added at 12:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:30 PM ----------

I run my boost gauge off a t from the vac line connected to the bov. If you haven't bought a gauge yet I recommend one that shows vac and boost.

My car

3.31 gears off road h pipe vortech tune
4th gear pull 460 at tires 417 torque
Brenspeed stated that's about right for a 4th gear pull and vortech tune

Where are you located? Go to advanced auto or auto zone and buy a cheap boost gauge. hook it up and see where you are at. Buy a mechanical gauge, when your nice gauge comes in put the hose that it came with in the box with the cheap gauge and return it. install nice gauge and be happy. Without a gauge installed you can not tell if you are making boost and will not know if you have fixed the issue.

There are cars making 460rwhp with only bolt ons and E85. So 460/416 is extremely low! Your car should be around 550/490 with the vortech base set up. Running in 4th will not read 100rwhp lower than it's supposed to show in 5th unless they don't do a full pull. They should be going in 5th until 7k and you should be making 8-9psi.

Are you turning traction control off? Just a thought? My tuner turned the alternator voltage up to 14.6 so the fuel pump will not lean out in the upper rpm's. definately need a good dyno tune to check all this in 5th gear.

[QUOTE=bob@kurganmotorsports;1436564]in my experience, dynoing a coyote supercharged car in 4th vs 5th is good for about 40rwhp difference.. also, was a/f checked with the FACTORY widebands or a dyno wideband?? The stock widebands operate in closed loop and the vortech tune demands 10.5 to 1 a/f at WOT... in any gear lower then 5th, the car will show lean on a wideband as the load is not correct and it goes through the gear quickly... thats why most drag racers will only view a log in HIGH gear when the motor is fully loaded... set up gen2 livelink on your laptop and you can log your a/f through a laptop There you go..

I'm guessing he traded the car in. I haven't seen him post lately and I know he was looking at a grand Cherokee.

He did. He ditched the mustang before he ever got it running right. Even sold the blower off of it.
