Do I need a fitting to mount it to my intake

yes you do. you will have to drill a small hole in the intake that the fitting fits inside which holds the nozzle. the kit you buy will come with the fitting.

yes that will work. are you using the shark nozzle? if so yes the 1/8 inch will be perfect
