Just noticed a sticker on the underside of the hood on my 2013 GT Premium Convertible that reads, "Not for Sale in States with California Emission Standards." I had not noticed that notice on any of my 2 previous 2005 GTs nor on my 2007 GT! Does this mean the exhaust system (or emissions) on my new Mustang are not stock??? Thanks.
California has a stricter emissions standard than most states. And us lucky states (like Oregon) that are adjacent to California can only get new vehicles with the stricter standards. So you have a vehicle with the standard emission controls - which means it cannot be sold new in California or any of the western states that adopted California standards.
Verdict - You have the stock car an we have the California kludges (aka, non-standard emissions)!
Thanks for the info. Don't know why I couldn't figure it out myself. Appreciate your help!!!
