Yeah I'm generally 22 to 25 mpg. I guess because I'm mostly interstate. I'm all stock right now. I do a lot of spirited driving around Atlanta, but I think the 26 miles down the interstate each day to and from work make up for it

Just spent a day at the dragstrip. Even after 7-8 hard runs, my average is still sitting at 17mpg.

4.6-19.5 MPG???????

I was at about 15-16 mixed driving when I got my 5.0 a couple days ago I got my steeda cai and sct x4 I loaded the canned 93 oct tune for the intake while I was waiting for my tune Lund my mpg increased mixed driving to 22-25 and that's driving hard now I got my Lund tune and it's a little better but I also feel for power. So I'm thinking it could be the stock tune making your mpg hurt try and go to your dealer and see if that got an updated tune on their system

This is what I got for a 20 mile highway stretch cruise @ 65 on 6th gear! Isn't that awesome? Also it's not really dropping much if you use 5th gear to run on suburb roads! I love that engine
BTW I have 2013 GT

I have a 11 an even good driving gets me 16 to 17 mpg at best. But I'm all city. An I usually get 14mpg cause I'm heavy footed. Also depends on your set up. I have 3.73 gears an some other small things. I'm not worried about mpg but it's Monday I mite reset the avg an drive normally an see how I do. I'll keep in touch.

I always reset my mpg or I'd get like 6 mpg . I reset it and watch everyday when I get on highway and cruise after fuel up I get 26mpg about 18 driving normal threw town. If I sling my *** end around every corner and beat her all the way down the feder on to the highway yeah I have like 13avg but if I keep a light foot gas mileage is never a concern. Funny you mention that tho because I had. 2012 explorer and I thought I got worse gas mileage in it and it wasn't I'll I sold it that I realized I could have reset the avg reading and had never been reset for the life of the car and I can think of some morning running behind schedule flyin 110 down the highway drinking gas going to work lol and obviously that wasn't everyday use my number was lower factoring in those averages. Food for thought.

I just filled up the Mustang, it said I had 27 miles left to Empty, and I used 13.528 gallons, so almost 2.5 gallons left, or about ~80 miles.

My general rule is zero miles left means 50 miles left, but depends on how you drive. I have found zero miles left means 2 gallons left in the Mustang, and 2.5 in the Escape. Also, the fuel gauges in these (that tell you MPG) reset every 500 miles. It hasn't been explained to me exactly how it works, but I am under the impression it only remembers the last 500 miles. So if you filled your tank, went to the drag strip, and then drove 501 miles, the MPG gauge would forget about the time at the strip.

In December, I took it completely to Empty, but wasn't tracking the miles to E on it. 1.038 gallons in it, then exactly 16.000 when I got her to the station. My MPG gauge is always off about 10%, sometimes more, occasionally less.

Go slower, you should be able to pick up even more. I do about 61-62 and get exactly 30.0 with my 3v 4.6 in my 2010 GT.

Before my mustang I had a 2013 f150 Eco boost and when I told people I switched to my stang and the best part about the switch for me was gas mpg they said your in a mustang and that shouldn't matter. I replied it doesn't it's just a really nice perk. Lol I'm very pleased with te mpg in my 5.0

Keep in mind I have a 2012 v6. Computer shouldn't make much of a difference, but I do drive it with peak efficiency on my mind, too. Not comparing mileage to the 8s, just sharing my experience with how the computer works for me.

I just filled up my 14 GT with the automatic and 3.15 rear gears yesterday and hand figured my mileage and it was 24.2 mpg. My digital mpg display said 23.1 I drive about 85% highway and the rest city.

My fiancée's 07 GT with the five speed manual and 3.55 gears routinely gets 24 mpg in the same driving conditions as mine.
