2013 check engine light

Has anyone had the check engine light start flashing and the ac cut off while accelerating hard?

Never had it happened to me, but i believe some cars are equipped to turn off the ac automatically when accelerating hard. Not sure if our cars are, but that could be it. As i was always told, its never a very good idea to drive the car hard with the AC on because of the extra load you put on the motor.
Im far from an expert on AC systems though , so hopefully somebody will correct me if i happen to be wrong.

Got any codes? My car would throw random cel's and had to have the o ring fix done on the cps. There a TSB for this issue. The A/C shutting off may just be coincidence?
My cel light would just flash and the car would miss fire and run like crap for about 10 seconds then start running fine. The cel would not stay on solid so fixing the issue was a pain! Had to leave the car running after the cel flashed to be able to get the codes

I have used the CarMD for the codes in my car and that seems to word pretty good and if you go to the dealership they should be able to give you a loaner if you wanted if they have to keep your car over night

Did your AC turn off or did It stop blowing cold air? AC systems have a high pressure shut off switch in them to protect the system from self destructing at high rpms. Basically the AC clutch pulley disengages at high rpms so your car will start blowing warm air

The company I work for does a lot of residential, commercial, and refrigeration, as well as plenty of other stuff (but we specialize in hvac). I'm still pretty low level and I make $15 per hour but some of the guys I work with make $25-30 per hour. I also live in louisville, KY, elsewhere they probably make quite a bit more but their cost of living is also higher

I was going to go into that about 12 yrs ago. Went into industrial maintenance instead. I work on and repair cnc machines, assembly machine, and robots. Mechanical, electrical, Plc programming, cnc programming, ect. I work at a factory that makes brake calipers for just about ALL auto makes. We actually have the business for the new s550 mustang. (4 pot aluminum caliper)

Wow I never knew is bad to have your ac on full blast when accelerating hard thanks for the info. I accelerate hard with ac on full blast and my ac just stops or blows warm air.
