Would you buy your spoiler again?

Ok I've already searched out the differences between the 3D carbon and GT500 spoilers. I understand that basically the 3D carbon one has the trailing edge molded into it and that its a bit bigger than the OEM one. The GT500 spoiler has the gurney flap etc.

I'm just wondering if anyone has purchased one or the other and regretted their purchase? I'm really leaning toward the OEM one but its about $150 more. My car also has the spoiler delete so Ill have to drill my trunk since I cant find a Kona Blue to swap with.

Sorry for rambling, if you had to do it all over again would you buy the same spoiler if any at all and why?

I first bought the four pedestal CS spoiler for my '11 V6. I really like it. I decided to get the same for my '13 GT but they were out of stock so I settled for the GT500. The latter was much easier to install and looks great but I wish I would have waited for the CS to get back in stock. Since you have spoiler delete, don't forget that you will have to use a hole saw and drill 1" holes through the stiffeners on the inside of your decklid. I also recommend going with 3/8" instead of the 1/4" recommended holes through the outside. Getting all four screws aligned is less of a problem. I also recommend getting flange-head hex bolts to replace the supplied screws. They didn't tell me that.

Thanls Bigmac3, I hadn't heard that either and it may be better for me to have the dealer install it. I was thinking that I just needed to drill 4 holes and stick it on.

The screws that come with it are way too short to go all the way through the stiffeners. Even if you get longer ones they will crush the stiffener when you tighten them and that will suck. It's not hard it just takes a little extra engineering.

Mine came with the car but if it didn't, I would have bought it and had it installed.

We installed the GT500 Spoiler from TruCarbon and absolutely would get the same one. Took off the GT Spoiler and this one bolted & stuck right on. Removing the old 3m tape was the longest part of the process. It was a choice between the GT500 spoiler and the RTR spoiler.......glad we chose this one. Quality is unreal
If you want the OEM GT spoiler, $25 plus shipping and it is yours, it is Sterling Grey, it is just sitting on a shelf in the garage.

I bought the American muscle GT500 spoiler, this was when they still used 3dcarbon for their supplier. I wish I had gotten the OEM GT500 spoiler because of the gurney flap... I would spend the extra $150 tbh. Nothing wrong with the AM version, but OEM would be better

The RTR is high quality, looks great, and is made out of aluminum.

That's the main reason I'm leaning more toward OEM

Buy the OEM, I had a 3D Carbon but after looking at my friends Shelby I had to make the swap for a OEM spoiler. I found one new on eBay for $227.00 and my local body shop charged me $150.00 to paint it. Now when I see a car with a 3D carbon I'm glad I went to OEM.
