Power train is 100k so if you add a cai and at 40k a rod shoots through your engine you Guna pay for it ?
If they don't cover it you'll foot the bill. The same way I had to pay $9K for a shortblock when my Cummins broke the crank. It's your word vs. theirs as to what caused the problem, and FoMoCo has deep pockets and lawyers ready for little guys like us who'll threaten to take them to court on the Magnuson Moss warranty act.

Then once they find out you caused the damage and tried to rip them off, a nice fraud case could be waiting for you, if they wanted to play nasty.

Just all part of it. If you are worried about warranty then do not mod. It's a chance you take. You have to pay to play

Just use this misfortune as a excuse to get some stage 2-3 blower cams.

+1. If it isn't your daily driver, let it sit for awhile, save up your cash, and then pay a professional to do it.

I agree with you in saying that the blower had nothing to do with the cams going bad, but like others have said, a powertrain warranty has strict guidelines. Either way, sorry it happened. Hate to see any mustang owner having motor problems.

You say no one knows what's wrong and its all just guesses but yet you know for a fact that your one week old blower didn't do the damage? Lets think this one through a little more clearly, sounds like a double standard to me

Have you tried calling vortech? Maybe the canned tune they sent you was jacked.

Regardless, its impossible to tell what caused it until you tear into it and pinpoint the issue to begin with.

The blower makes life harder on practically every internal component. Something just doesn't add up though.

Your first post tried to make him sound unethical, and your second is just to argue. Get a life and stop littering this thread.

I don't disagree that the blower shouldn't have done any damage, but something went wrong. It may not have been your fault but you can't say it's not your fault either.

Seems like the only choices you have are pay the 1200 to get it inspected or part it out and sell it off, or try your luck with ford. I'm not saying you shouldn't try to have ford fix it under warranty, but don't try to force them to do so, if warranty work is declined then so be it.

Ideally I wish my car could be fixed but taking blower off and spending 2-3k figuring out what's wrong doesn't sound like fun . Il talk to them in morning like I said just dont feel well

Your mods will void your warrantee only if it caused the failure, you need to know what and why it failed, I would take it in and tell the truth as attractively as you can without lying.

Not the newer PCM's. Once flashed, it sets the PCM to let a tech know it's been flashed.

Yes, you can set the stock tune back to the PCM (recommended whenever it goes to a dealer for work), but it no longer can be hidden that it was tuned.

The older model PCM's worked this way, but the auto manufacturers got a bit smarter now.
