I hate the tiger hood. Honestly I hate them both though. I would get the cobra r hood, but out of those two, I would get black mamba.

The problem I am having is that to me the SS looks better but the tiger is more functional in cooling, down force and heat extraction. Idk if I want the looks or functionality.
Does the SS look more for a drag car or is that just me????

That could be an option! Have u seen it in person? Is it true that most cervini hoods have imperfections on the fiberglass???

Is the car a daily driver? If so i would stay away from the tiger racing hood, even though i love the look.

It is not driven to and from work but it does get driven everyday a bit. According to ford racing and the people that sell the tiger hood unless I see snow I will be good. Tough Choice

Yeah, I dont think rain will hurt it, especially with the stock airbox, but its still gonna get your motor dirty quicker. Ive also heard of problems with the hood flexing at higher speeds causing the paint to chip some.

Damn flexing is no good, I guess that is why they put 4 hood pins on their race cars. The down side to the SS hood is that it is 35 pounds which is basically the same as stock

Yeah. Its a tough call. I love the look of the tiger hood personally. Hopefully they will come out with a version more friendly to a daily driver, as I'd love to have one in the future.

I havent seen one in person, but the hood scoop is functional, so that's a plus.. but as the imperfections on their hoods I'm not sure, I haven't heard that before. But I havent done a lot of research on it, that could be true. It just looks mean as hell to me. I'd buy it if I had the money. But the tiger hood would be my second choice! Either way your cars gonna look sick bro!

Your hood looks a lot like my old hood. Minus mine had some non functional vents near the back. It looked cool but weighed about twice as much as my stock hood. How's the weight on yours?

If I had to say its a little light since its fiber glass def not heavier . I've thought about trying to make vents in rear to help but I'm happy for now

Mine was fiberglass too but the scoop was functional and it routed the airflow over my cai. It was hella thick too.

what I got.

This is what I have and I'm in Michigan where it snows and rains a lot the hood has built in water channels that make the water run down the sides to the back where it goes out. I also Powder coated the aluminum louvers on the top of the hood red. If I had to do it again I'd do the Cervini's STALKER hood, that thing is bad ***.

Speaking of the stalker hood, is it the same height as the stock hood?
Or does it have a little raise to it?

And congrats on the hood!
Looks awesome!!

This is a TRUE Ram Air hood that is avail in fiberglass or CF. Sick looking setup for keeping the front looking like a '13 and not the hood of a '12.

Here is how the ram air works.

I really like the cowl or tiger racing, I have seen the ram air in person and don't really like it. Plus it is super heavy

My opinion is that a functional hood should be your choice regardless of the options. But since they both are, I love the Mamba hood!
