High flow cats?

Yes I searched first. Am has some new product pypes high flow cats that say they are good for fi. Can they be used on a stock gt?
Also, would adding high flow cats to a gt with stock midpipe and roush ab do anything for performance/sound besides making it raspy? I don't know too much about exhaust and I'm also wondering if my stock cats are bolted in or would they have to be cut out? Basically is swapping the cats to high flow something that can be done in my garage? Thanks for any insight.

Yes, It can be done in your garage. I would assume they are welded to the mid section. High flow or no cats will net you a BIT of recovered performance, but it won't be noticeable. You will notice the smell of gas with no cats, it will get louder, you will fail emissions.

They would probably help some, but not enough to really notice. Being in a non-emission state, I deleted mine all-together. They're just held in place with the ball/socket clamps on the rear. My BBK cat deletes were too large to fit the stock mid-pipe without leaking, so I welded them on. They Pypes cats may fit better hopefully.

Compared to a solid steel pipe with a straw in it...maybe.

I'm going to have to disagree with that, since people pick up 10-15rwhp by deleting them.

I was comparing them with "High Flow" cats. Obviously, no cats are better.

Ahh, that wasn't clear by your post. I still maintain both are terrible, but if you're stuck in an emissions testing state you have little choice.
