2014 Transmission Issues

Hey, I have a 2014 GT with the manual trans and the standard 3.31 gears. I was just wondering if there are any transmission problems I should look out for? I know that the 2011's had transmission issues. I have not noticed any problems, but would like to know if there is anything I should be looking for. Thanks.

Yep. Trouble/grinding going into 1st & 2nd, missing or being locked out of 3rd under high rpm shifts. From time to time I even had trouble with 1st to 2nd shifts under normal driving. All this for the trouble going into 1st went away once I upgraded to the Barton 2 post bracket...

Did you ever take your car to the dealer for the shift "lockout" issue? I would be interested to know what they said.

Did you just do the bracket, or did you upgrade to the Barton shifter as well?

I have this issue too when I try to downshift during deceleration.

I did the barton 2-post on mine, with the stock shifter, and it solved 90% of all my problems. Mine was really acting up on the 2-3 shift under harder acceleration. But ive never experienced any problems downshifting or getting into 1st.

No I never took it to the dealer for the lockout issue...the new bracket fixed that. I've also never had any problems downshifting whatsoever.

The transmission in this car is not there best effort. The shifter upgrade was my first mod, I think it makes sense to do that ASAP. I went with MGW, but any upgrade is a big improvement.
