Coyote with gears

Does anyone have a stock or lightly modified Coyote car (preferably automatic) near Boynton Beach Florida with either 3.73's or 4.10's? Help a brother out and take me for a ride so I can decide which I'd like to buy. I'll buy coffee or lunch.

Thanks Mikey. Probably not traveling to Mii this week. How do you like your gears? Are they enough or do you ever wish you had 4.10?

I would lean more towards a converter than gears.

I agree if your doing strip only, converters are pricey and they are not the best for the every day street driver.

Just to confirm, you upgraded stock, correct? Or did you purchase the car with 3.73's? I really want to upgrade my stock gears, but Ford told me yesterday that it would void my warranty. I was very disappointed, since I was going to purchase the Ford Racing 4.10 and have Ford install it...

Landmark Ford, Tigard, Oregon - Are you under the impression that is false and that it won't void the warranty? Maybe I should contact Ford and get their blessings (in writing).

Are you an auto or manual? Regardless 4.10's would be overkill plus why are you bringing up warranty when you've already tuned the car?

It is an automatic - 4.10's over kill? Would you suggest 3.73's?

As far as the tune goes, I use a Diablosport - When I purchased it, everything I read said that it does not leave any trace. I have taken my car to Ford a few times and they haven't said a word. I'm hoping that it did go undetected. I guess they may not bring it up unless something with the car went wrong and then they could use it as an excuse to not fix it?!

I should mention, that I did/do retune the car to factory before taking it to Ford. I don't have any upgrades yet that require the tune to drive safely.

Good to know. So I guess there is no point to putting it back to stock when taking her in for work.

Your post doesn't add up. You say the dealer says gears will void your warranty which leads me to believe they haven't checked if you have a tune at all. They just haven't looked yet but Ford can see it if they look hard enough.

Anyways I say stick with your stock gears. You want to feel a significant difference? A converter is the way to go.

Exactly.
I am a daily driver - I've read that a converter make the most sense for track cars.

I guess I'll just not worry about the warranty and fight it if necessary when/if the time arrives.

There's nothing wrong with a converter on the street. There are different levels of stalls. If you're a daily driver then gears are definitely not for you.
