Slippery pedals?

I have the aluminum pedals and I'm a bit lukewarm on them when my shoes have water on the bottom of them. They have a tendency to slip off sometimes and I find myself trying to rub the bottom of them off on the floormat at red lights. Mostly it happens when I leave in the morning and I've gone out to feed the dogs or something and there's water on the ground or if I'm coming out of a store and sprinklers were on or something. I feel like an idiot dancing around so I don't step in water, but I hate having my feet slip off the pedals. On my previous car I had pedals made that had small "peaks" on them so they really grabbed the bottom of my shoes. Have any of you guys used aftermarket pedals or maybe skateboard tape on the stock pedals?
