Brembo tires question

I'm sure this might have been covered in the past but I did a search on here and didnt really find my exact answer. So yesterday I got a flat, cut inner tread and sidewall so a new tire is needed. My dilemma is this, Do I install 2 new rear tires (255's) or just the one single one? I would keep the one tire thats good that gets taken off for a spare. Second, I sortta see it as a chance for a wider tire mod. I've seen some say to not stagger on the stock bbp wheels and to just get new wheel and tires that are staggered 9'' fronts 10'' rears. But some have done 275 35 or 40 19 in the rears and like them. So Im looking for more pics of cars with 275 on the rear brembos and what the best tire route is so i can get the tires ordered asap. Thanks

You can just replace the one tire. However, it depends on the tread on the rest of your tires. You can go a little wider on the brembo wheels. Not that I have done it but I have read others who have.

If your other tires are getting low on tread you can start looking at buying another set anyway. You will barely notice a 275 on the back compared to the 255 on the front and you won't really have that "staggered" look. If you want staggered get 10 in the back and do 295s or wider.

I have 285/35r19 Pirelli's on the back. Very similar in diameter. There is very little to no bulge. Just remember they are not going to stick out much further. A larger rim would to that.

That's why I'm going to a with a 9" Front and 10" Rear pretty soon. Not a huge fan of the BBP rims in comparison to other aftermarket rims. Just gotta get my suspension finished first.

The stock tires have 9300 miles on them and i think they have pretty good tread still, i dont know how much compared to a new one though. Reason i'd like to get 275 on the rear is for more traction and to have the benefits of a wider tire (plus tire will look wider then the 255). If a 275 is barely noticable or not worth it, i will end up ordering a 255 then. Tire places around here dont seem to carry the tire or sizes. So the 275 doesn't really bulge out over the rim and is more flush like the 255?

I went with 285s on the back. A little bulge but oh damn!!! Pricey!!! I paid over 1k for two tires, mounted and balanced.

Just do 275/40 all the way around.

Holyyy Sh$$! Thats alot of cash for 2. 275 40 would work, wouldnt have to worry about all tires being close in diameter. I heard 275's up front tramline and like to grab all the ruts and changes in the road more when driving and stopping. I cant remember how my 04 gt was when i had 275's all around

haha, ill keep my brembo wheels. I may be interested in the 255's (2) if theyre the pirellis, but you got me thinking about the 275 40 all around now! Could just swap the tires over to new rims next year once i finally figure out which ones i want lol. The hankook ventus v12 and bfg g force sport comp 2 are actually reasonably priced. Anyone have input on the tires ^ above?

Where are you located? I'm in Houston, TX. I may part with the (2) 255s.

I would look on Craigs List or Kijiji to see if you could find a used one.
