Dude, Quit trying to throw your military experience around on here and acting like a badass. I'm a 25 yr old marine combat veteran as provisional infantry in afghanistan as part of a major offensive to take the city of marja, and I've seen some crazy ****, but you don't even hear me talk about it. It's not relevant so quit trying to play the military card and stop acting like everyone owes you something. Chill out and grow up.

Trolling is against forum policy.

Well same difference, he can say he's saved up for it since the 4th grade but even if his parents have him 1000 dollars every birthday since he was born I still dont see how he "earned" that money.. but hey when my son is 16 and if I have the funds I might buy him a new car.. just not a 30k+ car lol so have fun dude you have awesome parents.

Finances are going to be close, it's starting to look like I'm going to end up with the V6 MCA edition with performance package. My parents don't want to finance over 20K,and it's looking like it's going to be either 19k or 23k,if it's 21k I can probably still get it. We will be leaving the house to pick up my dad from the airport around 3(40 min drive) and should be back around 7. With either the Red candy GT Premium,or the Ruby Red V6 MCA edition.

Buy a used gt if you have to, you'll be tired of the v6 in no time and wish you had that 18k back.

It's really none of our business who pays for it and I'd like to think anyone on here wouldn't let it bother them

I've been trying to tell my parents that, although I did like the V6, I want a GT. My mom can't get past how many options the MCA edition has,and that it's the exterior I want(the GT we are working a deal on doesn't have black rims). But I'd prefer a GT.

When you get tired of it, maybe mom will buy it from you.

All depends on how you raise them. Agree, some can handle it, some can not. If you raise them to be respectful, honest, and hard working, even at 16yrs old they can be more responsible with a 400hp car than a 20+ yr old without the same values.

I bought a v6 premium and loved it. Until a 5.0 pulled up. Regardless I understand the finance aspect of it. But if you get the v6 prepare to trade off in a year or so. That's what I did, I had mine for 13 months and traded it in. It's just the nature of the beast. It's better to get something to grow into. Not something that fits now and you'll outgrow later. Just my .02

We will most likely be getting the GT I want, we should have to finance 21k at most. 1k over what my dad wants to spend, but in a 60 month payment plan, that's almost nothing. I should be able to get the GT

Awesome, post pics of your new GT here when u get it... **warning** I know your on a limited budget, but with the influences from this forum your car will not stay stock for long... I've only had mine for 2 1/2 years and I swore I'd leave it stock for at least the first 3 years... Good luck !!

I already know some changes I want to make, getting the ok from my parents will be the tough part. I want an aftermarket exhaust(Flowmaster American Thunder,or BBK's new varitone exhaust), black painted 19" staggered wheels, a CAI,85 mm throttle body, and roll/sway bars and RTR mustang stripes if I can find them. Would any of these possibly void any warranties? I can probably get my parents to let me get the exhaust and wheels in the next year.

Idk why everyone says this. I've had my 3.7 for 2+ years and I'm not even near "tired" with it. My good buddy has a 14 5.0 and we go cruising all the time and I still love my sixxer. 305 HP is plenty for the average Joe, and especially for a young teenager's first sports car...

I agree, but a 420HP Muscle(The mustang is far from a sports car) car,for a RESPONSIBLE driver is good, as I've stated,I'm fine with either car,the V6 is no slouch anymore. Now if I wasn't a responsible driver, the only Stang I'd be getting would have been a used V6.

What do you classify a sports car to be then?
