how to turn off "change oil" indication

Is there a way to turn off/ reset the change oil indication without taking the car to the dealership?

yeah, in about ten seconds. Just scroll and select the oil life monitor on the little panel next to the steering wheel and press "reset". This ain't no BMW.

Great! Thanks a lot. I've been living with this annoyance for a little more than a month.

OK. I own a 2012 base coupe. I have tried to reset the "change oil" indication using this method. It works for as long as I'm using the car. After turning the car off, when I put the key in the ignition and turn it on again, the first thing that shows on the screen is the "change oil" indication...........?

(Yes I changed the oil)

You are just clearing the notification. You have to scroll thru the options ( middle button) until you get to the oil life then hold reset. BTW your owners manual tells you how to do this :/

I appreciate everyone's help. I asked about this issue on this forum because I knew there would be some great people that would be nonjudgmental and knowledgeable. Thanks again.
