Finally Picked out Exhaust!!

After much researching, listening to YouTube videos, and reading opinions on here.. I finally decided on the GT500 Quad Tip Axleback with the Shelby rear valance for my 2014 GT. I feel like it has a nice tone and won't be too overpowering. No drone, but sounds amazing when opening it up. I do have a question, for anyone who has this same set up.. I know you have to cut your rear bumper which I'm kinda hesitant about. How easy is the install? Or should I just take it to my ford dealer and have them do it for me? Thanks for any input!

Great choice! This is one of my favorite exhaust setups available.

Installation isn't too bad either. I would certainly do the install yourself if you have basic hand tools and skills. Here's complete step-by-step instructions for you too. So you know exactly what you're getting yourself into.

Like I said, I think you'll find it's not to bad!

If you are buying the Shelby rear valance, I wouldn't think you'd have to do any cutting to accommodate the twin tips on the GT500 Axleback you are purchasing. I put on a different axleback so I can't talk from experience; but I did alot of research After the axleback I got didn't turn out as expected--Hind-sight Is 20/20.

Yeah with the quad tips you have to cut a bit. But as Shane said, it doesn't look to bad. I looked at the install guide.

Great choice, I drove my wife crazy watching you tube videos and glad she convinced me to get this set up. It sounds amazing and never gets old, next is the Boss side pipes which will really sound amazing with the GT500's. I had my rear valance painted to match the car and it came out great, I hated losing the painted mid section that gets cut off but the painted valance makes up for it. I would also suggest painting the muffler body's flat black, it will really make the tips shine and look allot cleaner from the back. I wish I had done that before I installed them.

Alright guys. Install wasn't too bad. The only part that made me nervous was drilling out the holes where the tabs on the valance locked into. Didn't want them to be too big. Exhaust sounds amazing! I was originally going to cut out the resonators, but I'm leaving them in. This is exhaust is perfect.

Here's a few pictures I took during the process. I started at 130 in the afternoon and finished up at 630 with some breaks in.

Video coming soon.

$150? In Oregon, zero tolerance and a $325 ticket! I was pissed, because they sell those covers at all car stores. They shouldn't be able to sell them if they're illegal. :-\

You car looks great, by the way!!

I seen cop's in Daytona Beach giving $1500 tickets for the plate being mounted vertically on bike's, even tho they were legal in the state of issue.

None, even with a full exhaust and no cats.
I am always doing road trips so drone was a NO NO for my wife and I.

The sound is also very controllable but at WOT, hide your kids, hide your wife because it will rape you ears!!!!! Lol to me I wouldn't go any other way.

I personally like the sound of the gt500 Axlebacks, but I'm happy for you finding the exhaust you wanted
