Just finished some rear end work - Mustang Evolution

My friends and I just replaced the 2 outer bearings and seals on the rear of my '11 GT. We also swapped out the diff fluid. We had a surprise when we did this too. We found a very healthy set of 4.10 gears in the back. I was told they were 3.90! But the bad news is we found 2 loose bolts in the rear diff as well. But, a little Locktite and a lot of elbow grease later, I have a much quieter rear end now. We did the work because I had horrible roaring coming from a bad bearing. I'm glad we did it because those two bolts were a ticking time bomb and catastrophe was averted!!!!

Yeah, warranty was a no go. Ironically, the gears were set perfectly and were very healthy. We think that it was rushed, hence the lack of lock-tite on 2 bolts. They also failed to spring for the installation kit, which is why the outer bearings were bad. Up next is a Boss Intake install coupled with a dyno tune and possibly cat deletes.
