2013 GT nitrous install pics

Hello everyone...new guy here. I stumbled on this site recently and thought I would start out with a contribution that may help others. I finally completed the installation of my custom Nitrous Outlet single nozzle nitrous system with Nano pusher system. I put the car on the dyno a couple of weeks ago and it made 519 rwhp / 551 rwtq on the 100 shot with a very conservative Bama tune (Note: a/f was 10.9 - 11.0). I don't have any track times yet and don't know when I will get to a track.

Wow, great work! You definitely did everything right, your Nitrous system looks awesome.

You also made some great power with just a 100 shot! With 522RWHP with a 150 shot on our 2011 GT, we went 10.43@130 in the 1/4 mile. You should be in this same ball park!

I'm getting ready to do Heads/Cam/100 Shot on my 2011 GT. You've definitely given me something to look forward to! Keep us posted as your build goes on, we'd love to follow along.

Thanks Dan! My goal is to be able to run 10's in the 1/4 mile. AM's 2011 GT is an automatic right? How much more power (if any) do you think I'll need need to easily run 10's with a manual transmission? What size rear tire will work best with my 3:73 gear? Lastly, how much power do you expect to pick up with the head and cam package?

Yeah, 10's is definitely achievable with your current power level. You're obviously going to need some suspension (Upper and Lower Control Arms), a good tire and a clutch but it's definitely achievable! I would also recommend picking up a 1-piece aluminum driveshaft, this will shave off an additional 3 tenths in the quarter mile. If you can really slam gears, your car should easily run around 10.7 with right set up!

You wanna be around a 26-28" tall tire. If you're serious about getting into the 10's, I highly recommend picking up a set of slicks and skinnies! 17x4.5 up front with a 15x8 or 10 out back. I would throw a set of Mickey Thompson's on there, a 275/50 should do the trick! That's the exact set up that we run on the 11' AM Nitrous project car and I run this same set up on my 2011 GT.

Here's quick photo of my car so you can see the fitment!

Last but not least, the Heads/Cam package. These 4V motors absolutely love this mod. I'm going with a set of Comp Cam stage 3 Cams and am having the stock heads ported a bit. This type of package will make right around 500 RWHP all motor. I've seen as high as 487 RWHP with cam only, and on average between 510-520 with Heads/Cam. The great part about this Cam is it's a No Spring Require set up. So you don't actually have to go through the hassle of doing valve springs, retainers etc.. Now, if you have the extra cash, throwing the boss valve train in while you're down there isn't a bad idea! This will allow you to rev up to around 8K .

I hope this helps! Keep up the great work with your build and hit me up if you have any questions.

Thanks Dan! I already have a DSS driveshaft, and Metco billet LCAs. I definitely have my sights set on some bigs and littles. I keep hearing that drag radials will wreak havoc on a manual car's drivetrain. Have you found that to be the case too? BTW, your car looks killer. I really like the stance and cowl hood.

It sounds like you're already on the right track then! Thanks for the kind words on my car, I absolutely love it.

As far as radials causing trouble on a manual car, I don't think this is true. If you already have a Driveshaft and control arms, you've replaced majority of the weak links on a 2011+ Mustang's suspension. I haven't had any problems at all and there's thousands of Mustangs running at the track on a daily basis with slicks. Only thing you may need to think about is a clutch, if you're doing a lot of racing!

Keep me posted on your build!
