Good Exhaust setups?

My exhaust budget will be $600 or less, and I won't get them for a while. I'm thinking about getting Flowmaster American thunder axlebacks, or the new BBK varitune axlebacks. Other things I will eventually get will be 19" black Ford Racing track pack wheels, and window tint.

A friendly FYI - I purchased the American Thunders for my 13 GT and couldn't handle the volume, as I'm a daily driver. Even though they sound amazing, it was hard to have a conversation at 65MPH because of the drone. I ended up selling them and getting Borla S-Type, which is quite, except when I'm in it. If you go with the Thunders, be ready for some serious drone!

The quad GT500 exhaust sounds really good on it. I'm not sure how much that'll cost but they are nice when coupled with the rear valance

I forgot to add, it can't void any warranties, my parents want all the warranties to stay,so that makes modding harder...

Well the baritone are pretty new so there won't be much on those. There's one video of it I've watched. So it's on there. It only shows with the single chambered part it sounds good too

We like the Magnaflow Competition Cat backs. You could just go with the magnaflow competition axlebacks they sound pretty sick and are right there in your $ range.
Here is a video clip, sorry about the sideways phone video It has a great low grumble and has some of the exotic sound to it at WOT.

I disagree, here is our old school 302 with LT headers and Flowmasters, and it doesnt drone. It has a great old school sound, only clip I have of the exhaust and it is 3/4 the way through this video and just a short clip.

That's how they sound now, not how they sounded in 72. Exhausts have came a long way.

I agree, The Roush Axle backs sound amazing, I have them on my car and love it. It's quiet when cruising but sounds amazing when you put your foot down... Not sure how much they cost, but look into them, they sound great...

I'm going to avoid the exhaust portion of this thread and go for the wheels.

After 20k miles on the black FRPP track pack wheels let me be the first to tell you NO! They're exceptionally heavy and the paint finish isn't what I would call "good"

Those wheels are close to 35 lbs per wheel, there are plenty of other black wheels options that are 8-10 lbs less per wheels for under $200 per wheel.

Furthermore, the paint chips fairly easily and the clear coat was "spiderwebbed" after this amount of miles.

Check out AM, LMR, or a variety of other places... Please, for your sake lol

I'll keep that in mind, we would keep the rims the cars comes with anyways. Anyone else have experience with the FR black track pack wheels?
