I will probably be filling up with 89 octane every 3 trips, I'm still on the dealer tank, and will be filling up today, not sure what octane they used, I think they put in 87 though.
91 is the highest you can get in California. Even though I have a 91 tune, I would still use it. If you can't afford Premium, then use what you can afford.
Just filled up for the 1st time since leaving the dealer, I used 89 Octane, the 93 Octane was to much for what I had on me, will use 93 in about 3 trips... It would help if the dealer had told us what Octane they filled up with.

That's what I assumed. So I used 89:lol: I can feel a slight difference, engine seems a bit louder, slightly faster acceleration, and just feels plain better.
I've got a 91 tune in mine. We have 87,89,93 usually here. I'll run 93 down to about half a tank, then fill back up with 89, then 93 and so on. I've ran both 93 only and 89 only, and in this heat the car doesn't like to sit and idle for long periods of time with 89 alone.
In my experience (Chicago area, with frequent trips to Iowa and WI) Shell tends to have 93 when most of the other stations around only have 91 or 92. Of course, it's all 10% ethanol around here....
I had to fill up with citgo, no shell stations within 20 miles of me in VA, that I know of. I might use a different station next time ridiculous price for 89 and 93 compared to others
91, 92 or 93 octane depending on which highest level the gas stations carry. Some gas stations in my area carry highest 91 and others carry 93. Just depends. Never under 91 because of tunes.
from what the manual said, 87 can be used. But if you install a s/c or turbo you should
have to use 91 and up. You should use 91 and up anyways imo. In the installation paperwork for my Whipple it says you have to use or it will void the warranty.
