Rear Window Shield rattling is driving me crazy. Help

I took my window shield down off the back of my mustang to clean the window. We tightened the bolts hoping it would solve the center rattling coming from the shield. Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem. I would like to keep the sheild on for appearance looks. I love the way it adds to my car. However, the rattling is driving everyone who gets into the Mustang crazy. Anyone have any suggestions? Could I be missing a piece that goes on the center section. Help

Hmm, what is this window shield you are talking ab?

Unfortunately, it seems a lot of new interiors are using cheap plastics and rattling is inevitable (my gf's new 2014 toyota rattles, my friend's 2011 GMC sierra is absolutely horrid, my 2010 GT has the occasional minuscule rattle here and there in the dash).

Smile The back window shield

I'm not certain what the proper name of this sheild would be. However it's plastic and lays across my back windshield

If this is what you mean then you can use a sound deadening spray on the underside and that really helps. I did and it made a world of difference.

If it's plastic rattling on the window a dab of RTV on the contact points would eliminate it.

I know American muscle sells it. I think you have to search it though I don't remember where they have it listed.
