It's close but with a few mods that Shelby is at 5-600 RWHP. Personally I went with the 5.0 BC it has so much potential and the gas mileage is WAY better than a Shelby and insurance as well :p I sound like a v6 guy bahaha

Really? Maybe I shouldn't have wussed out when a guy at the gas station started saying my car doesn't pull compared to his 07 Shelby.. I definetely don't have the driver mod though...

If you have 3.73s you will pull it off the line. They have 3.31s stock

Your 5.0 can even rock out with a 10-12 gt500 if you know how to drive. But we are taking stock for stock.. If you can't drive you are toast. A 5.4 with a blower has more torque than the 5.0 can muster.

I test drove a '10 GT500 the other day and as I told the salesman, mine pulls way harder off the line, granted when the boost gets built up it pulls harder but my boss screams all the way to redline at 7500. I would love to run one at the track just to see.

With a set of 3.73s it might be a different story

I've seen stock 5.0s run as low as 12.6-12.8 with nothing but DR's. I've watched 10-12 gt500s consistently run those exact same times. Only thing I can say is that the gt500 always 60fts better for some reason. The 5.0 traps higher though.

I would think a 5.0 with 3.73 would have a better 60 ft :/ the bosses run consistent 12.4 on stock tires. 12 flat with DR

Well my car ran a 12.84@111mph in Texas when it was cooler outside and all I had was 555R's. But I've never seen what a boss could run at the track that was stock. I watched a Kenne belle boss run a 9.26 though with stock boss wheels/tires.

They are still slow. A full exhaust/ bolton 5.0 will still take one with a pulley

Probably depends on size of pulley of the shelby. It's all about traction and weight though. If the shelby can hook it's kinda hard to choose against it. Friend of mine has ported blower, pulley, full exhaust some suspension and tires does low 11's in the 1/4 for an 07 shelby which is not that bad

Oh, did I mention this car also has a factory sealed boss long block. Only drivetrain upgrades are a automatic Trans swap(after breaking 3 manuals), 4000 stall and 1 piece driveshaft. 18psi, e85, full magnaflow exhaust, jlt big intake, gt500 throttle body, and a huge set of balls!

I plan on getting a boss long block rather than a built long block when I want to crank up the boost later down the road

No sir! You should run twin kenne belles with a single turbo feeding each one! Then make sure you get nos stickers and plenty of blinker fluid because the car will burn twice as much
